What travellers are saying
- Joel GLos Altos, CA26 contributionsI was in Bikaner last month with my wife and two friends. This particular palace has been well maintained and is in excellent condition. We were able to see all of the trappings and luxuries of Moghul royal life.
What made our visit truly memorable was our guide, Vasim Ahmed. He is extremely knowledgeable of Rajasthani history and culture, including religious customs and practices of India’s many religions and ethnic groups.
In addition to the fort, Vassim shepherded us through the local markets and walked us through the myriad family factories where fabrics were dyed and silk printed. This was a particularly memorable portion of our visit.
Vasim can be reached at vasimquadri@rediffmail.com or +91 70142 78242. He’s a lovely gentleman.Written 4 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. His descriptions made us very curious, that we couldn't resist but had to ask our tour gide Dr. Jitu Solanki after completing our successful desert safari with him to tell us about it. Thanks to Jitu, who was very eager to explain us this place and drove us there, we luckily didn't miss it! Yes, it's creepy, yes it's dirty (ask for the reason!) but on the other hand it's full of majestic animals which make it altogether well worth to visit this truly unique place!Written 24 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A ChoudhuryNew Delhi, India112 contributionsThis place is located on the outskirts of the city and it focuses on research, breeding and development of camels. There are several camels in the complex which is spread over a big area. There is a small museum where products made from camel skin, camel bones are in display. There is also a cafe where tea, coffee, ice-cream and kulfi made of camel milk is available.
