They now have small shops who provide kanda bhaji and parathas etc. Food may not be hygienic but taste good.
You can trek if you have energy and old age can also enjoy but initial uphill can be challenging for them.

The residing palace was destroyed in a fire in 1857, so all you get to understand is sort of a floor plan.
But I think it's a must 45 min visit to see the simple living quarters and how sturdy the walls of the fort have been built.
Carry some water as none is available inside.Written 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NB N10 contributionsRecently we went to Dapoli via Tamhini ghat. It was a mesmerizing experience. After the July rains, there was lush greenery overall with small waterfalls in between. There was fog near the top of mountain and the air was very fresh. The roads are also well maintained but need to drive drive carefully as there are frequent hair-pin turns.
Overall a beautiful experience.Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
