They now have small shops who provide kanda bhaji and parathas etc. Food may not be hygienic but taste good.

- Pioneer02197227781Mumbai, India7 contributionsPune Okayama Garden is a meticulously maintained oasis, albeit the entrance fee is somewhat steep. The ambiance truly transports one to the heart of a traditional Japanese garden, evoking an authentic sense of tranquility and serenity. The overall atmosphere is immensely soothing, and taking a leisurely stroll around the expansive grounds is both a delightful and invigorating experience.
The garden is generously adorned with numerous picturesque spots perfect for photography, allowing visitors to capture the essence of its serene beauty. The lush greenery and the carefully curated landscape offer an unparalleled opportunity to immerse oneself in nature's calm, quiet embrace.
A special mention must be made of the thoughtful design elements, which echo the elegance and simplicity characteristic of Japanese gardens. Whether you seek a moment of contemplation or simply wish to enjoy the serene environment, Pune Okayama Garden is a sublime retreat that leaves a lasting impression.Written 27 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Climber324843676242 contributionsWould recommend for serious historians.
The residing palace was destroyed in a fire in 1857, so all you get to understand is sort of a floor plan.
But I think it's a must 45 min visit to see the simple living quarters and how sturdy the walls of the fort have been built.
Carry some water as none is available inside.Written 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I went in the morning hours and there were very few devotees. It felt very peaceful. Lord Parvasnath, Santhinath and other thirtankars statues were there in the adjoining temples. All the statues were made of five metals and the golden exterior makes them beautiful to look at. I was suprised to find Padmavathi Devi minitemple also. There was Jain agama written on metal sheets that were affixed to the inside walls of temple complex. I think this is why it is called Agama mandir. I observed Jains covering their mouths and approaching the inner sanctum of the temple. I think it could be the custom. One can walk to Jal Mandir from this main temple. This marble Jale Mandir also had Lord Mahavir as the main diety. The views of the Pune city from here are spectacular. There is place of Jain pilgrims to stay and eat in the temple complex. Overall, a good temple to visit on a weekend. I suggest staying for an hour after having made the effort to reach there.Written 5 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
