- Bansal_ShashankNew Delhi, Delhi, India8 contributionsWe had booked Avenger in April'17 for 2-3 days to travel from Pune to Lavasa. Everything, right from the professionalism of the folks with whom we had the communication through out to the condition of the bike was really good. They offered drinks while picking up the bike and while dropping it which we liked. But what i particularly disliked was how it ended. On returning the bike the concerned person found some mud marks and scratches on the bike (the bike wasn't scratchless when we had taken it, it had quite few marks here and there and i saw no point of keeping a track & count of each and every single one of them) and said that we might have to pay for it. During the entire journey there was not even a single time that anything touched the bike but the concerned person seemed adamant. What he repeated a couple of times was that "the marks are fresh and seem only a few days old". I didn't contest his claim and realized that marks could have been in place from before the time i took it and hence asked the concerned person to speak to the fellow who had handed us the bike. After a couple of calls to that fellow and waiting for over half hour was when the matter was sorted. We left without paying as mutually agreed, had to skip our lunch as we had to board our bus back to Bombay. We have booked bikes and scooty multiple times from different vendors but never come across such a behavior concerning mud marks and minor scratches that too when they don't concern us. Would appreciate if such issues are taken care of in future. Also, if you could provide pick-up and drop facilities at different spots within the city in which you ply, that would be quite helpful.Written 1 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kunal C4 contributionsFirefly Tour - Bhandardara
Pros:
Location - a scenic location indeed with the shores of the Bhandardara Dam & serene hills.
No boards/directions to reach the place makes the last stretch a bit difficult.
No network connectivity around the area (except BSNL)
Firefly Tour - though not told beforehand, the people are made to take their vehicles to the forest & given a chance to watch the magical Fireflies for a good 2 hours
Cons:
Food - extremely bad food, inedible on some counts & limited variety despite claiming a big spread of food.
No access to Online food ordering & hence one is stuck with this..
Washrooms - despicable, unclean, no lights, unsafe especially for females (with sure chances of getting an infection)
Tents - the size of tents is adequate for a couple, however the bed spread/mattress surely need an overhaul..Written 28 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
