Osho Teerth Park - An Update

An update on my much viewed and popular review of a couple of years ago.
The park has remained relatively unchanged and the trees and plants and bushes are as enticing as ever.
The short timings AM and PM are a deterrent to visitors but can be understood to keep unwanted elements out.
Photos of the park and sights in the immediate vicinity are attached.

Empress Gardens in the city of Pune, like Queen Victoria , seems to have been there forever.
Not in the league of great gardens, it provides the much needed oxygen to this congested city and is a welcome respite for citizens and their growing families particularly on weekends.
    A good way to relax.

A well-maintained, medium-sized garden located in model town Pune.
Plenty of huge and old trees give shade as well a good feeling that these trees by giving out oxygen, help in maintaining and improving air quality index in the garden.
It is a very well-patronised garden. There were plenty of health conscience people of various age groups.
One can indulge in one's favourite form of exercise like Yoga, Jogging and simple walking. Or simple relax on any of the thoughtfully provided benches.
There is also a small area earmarked for children below 12 years of age with swings and slides, a merry-go-round etc.
The outermost pathway is, I think, short of a KM. Distance markers are placed along the walking paths so one can keep track of the workout done.
For those living within reasonable distance a good place to visit on a regular basis.

While staying in Hotel Ramee grand, which is surrounded by several streets and houses, I looked for a place to have my regular walk and when I asked the hotel staff, was advised to go to this garden which is just a 7 minute walk from the hotel. Sambhaji Garden on the Jungli Maharaj Roadand is a welknown spacious garden. Besides an open gym on one end and an aquarium on the other end, this garden is very well maintained. I also found a strange tree near the open gym that has various branches spreading out in a circular fashion all around. I was so fascinated by this tree that I took its snap also. While walking in the garden, I found a Metro train passing through another side of the park. At the early morning hours, I also found many gardeners, laying out many samplings. I have seen many parks in India and abroad but it is a unique garden for many of its possessions, such as an old Patton tank that was conquerd by Indian army during Indo-Pakistan war in 1965 and an aquarium. Credit goes to Pune Municipal Corporation to have such a nicely laid out garden in the heart of city and maintaining it so well. I also suggest the visitors staying in Hotel Ramee Grand to also visit this garden and it can also motivate people to stay in this hotel.

Beautiful design concept of having Mughal garden. Awesome view of garden for greenery lovers. At evening they start fountains with throwing different color lights on them. Ticket price is low.

Could only see it from the outside. Optically impressive. The area is also popular because of the Bhakti Shakti flag, one of India's biggest flags.

We had visited Saras garden which is located at a walkable distance from the famous Swargate bus depot during our sightseeing in Pune. We had no issues parking our car since ample parking available outside the garden. There is no entry fee and we enjoyed the greenery inside with lots of trees and lotus pond but unfortunately pond was dirty. Good part was the beautiful Ganapati temple inside the garden. Later we enjoyed juice and snacks at one of the many food stalls outside the garden.
