Best time to visit is between 4 to 6 PM or early morning hours. The scene is quite beautiful and rainy season is the best time to visitWritten 17 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

It is still raw and not much commercialized.
You can go for a boat ride in the lake.
You can find some ducks near the lake.
Not much crowd around, the road is not good.
We visited the K resort there which has a lake view and nice bhajiya(pakode). Food was ok.Written 6 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ArdhanareeshvaraPune, India908 contributionsGood to see the Park relaxed and slumbering in the early morning. Rather deserted as expected in the current environment.Written 7 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PuneTravelbudPune844 contributionsIt is near Bhor. It is built in British era and has nice architecture. Dam has 2 walls. So it is dam wall below dam wall. Smaller wall can be seen only when water levels drop in summer. Back water has scenic points.Written 27 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BenuBeryNew Delhi, India101 contributionsSitting by the edge or taking a boat ride are intoxicating at sunrise. The clear skies, blue sky, tranquil waters are bewitching, but most of all,it’s the sound of silence....away from city crowds and in total peace.
Though it is a challenging ride by road, which is not smooth at all, dotted by small villages and their narrow rioads, one can relax in the MTDC hotel, which is reasonably clean or a modern hotel on the main road. One has to depend on one’s own resources for enetainment, but if one is looking for nature trails or alone time, this is perfect.Be sure to go before it gets humid in summer months,The greenery is verdant and nature lovers will find plenty of variety in flora and fauna.Written 9 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - KeshavChakrabortyPune, India696 contributionsThough its not a seperately worth place to visit but you will find it on the way to Lavasa just before starting of Dasve ghat section.
You are not permitted to go to the top of the dam.Written 5 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - EkMusafirPune, India2,206 contributionsThis is a very big lake with serene waters near Malshej Ghat on the Kalyan - Ahmednagar Highway (NH-61). We happened to pass this lake while driving from Otur to Malshej Ghat. We first crossed a bridge near Junnar across the backwaters of the lake and then we saw the huge expanse of water on the right side as we were driving towards Malsej.
There is a lovely backdrop of the hills of the Sahyadris in the background, and the shimmering waters of the lake in the foreground. The sight is beautiful to behold. When we went there were no clouds, but I am sure it will look heavenly in the rainy season, with the monsoon clouds hovering above the hills.
We stopped at the resort ‘Saj By The Lake’ for lunch, which has got good rooms bordering the lake and dam. We were told that sometimes migratory flamingos stop by for nesting in the lake during the winter, but there were none at the time we visited.Written 18 January 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Akshay IVasai, India107 contributionsThokarwadi Dam named on Marathi word is really a nice sightseeing in Pune especially if you are on a Road Trip.It is a nice spot for family picnic.Written 16 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Akshay IVasai, India107 contributionsThis place is very silent except the sound of the water. It gives a very calm feeling visiting this dam.A nice place to visit but if you are visiting it in summer season plan to finish the trip before the sun overheads as there is lot of open area surrounding the dam.Written 16 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
