I have one key piece of advice: Go early in the morning!

We decided to venture out amidst the gentle drizzle of the monsoon season. The decision was well rewarded. The greenery, refreshed and vibrant from the rains, was truly mesmerising. The views we were greeted with were nothing short of spectacular. The spot boasts a near 270-degree panoramic view, encompassing both Mahabaleshwar and the equally enchanting Panchgani. The sight of misty hills against the backdrop of dense forests and valleys and river was a visual treat.

However, a word of caution for those who dislike crowds: the traffic intensifies significantly after 11 a.m., especially on a packed weekend. We noticed an increasing number of vehicles making their way to the viewpoint as we were leaving, causing slight congestion. The parking lot, spacious though it may be, was quickly filling up and turning into a jam-packed area. Thus, to truly savor the serene beauty of this place, it's advisable to arrive well before the clock strikes 11.

In conclusion, this viewpoint in Mahabaleshwar offers an experience that seamlessly blends the magic of nature with the allure of panoramic vistas. Just remember to set that early alarm, pack some rain gear if you're visiting during the monsoons, and prepare to be spellbound!

This was near our hotel so we went walking in the morning. It was relaxing.

There are some dogs in the area so would recommend to go by car to the top or keep a stick just in case.

View from the road and the top was beautiful.

Dhom Dam is located in Wai, Maharashtra. It is a dam that offers breathtaking views of the cloud covered hills and the river. Unlike other dams with high security, you can actually walk on the wall of this dam and experience the tranquility and serenity

This Table land is the first and foremost important site seeing place of Panchgani. There are total five table lands here and all together called as table land. there are five hence this village name is derived as Panchagani. Pancha means Five and Gani is Sanskrit word which means plane land in front of home. This is Second largest mountain plateau in Asia, First one is located in Tibet. This table land is at an elevation of 4550 feet above sea level which is the highest point of Panchgani. This table land is spread across 95 acres area. This land is flat and large, offering clear views of the entire region, its valleys, and hills with no obstructions.

This land is very vast and exploring by walk is not possible. Secondly due to tourist attraction, they are not allowed personal vehicles here. So only option available is going on Horse ride or Tonga. Rates are bit high here. If you are good in bargaining then you will get at right prices.

Tonga people will take you through out the land surrounding area and showcase the tourist spots. There are total five tourists spots here which are main points to cover during your horse riding.
    1. Devil's Kitchen: Which is the area where Pancha Pandavas were had kitchen during their Vanavas.
    2. Shooting Point: This is the point which is famous for shooting and most of the Bollywood pictures shooting was happened here. Some of them are Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Mela, Raja Hindustani.
    3. Pandava's Foot Print: There are Foot prints on rocks, which are believed to be belongs to Pandavas. Local people will have pooja and prayer here during Dashara and Diwali time.
    4. One tree Point: This is far away spot where there is only one tree on Rock. which is also again famous for shooting. Raja Hindustani kissing scene was shot at this place. One wondrous thing about the plateau is that despite fertile soil, nothing ever seems to grow here, except a lone tree. Hence this place become tourist place.
    5. Valley Point: This is the point from where one can enjoy beauty of Panchgani Valley.

There are many boarding schools in Panchgani due to which this Village is called as Education Hub. Interesting fact is since it is educational hub there are no Movie theaters in this village.

It's more of a sunset point. Visit in the evening to watch the setting sun and enjoy some cool street food here. You have delicious chats available here. Views of Sahyadri hills and Koyana valley from here is simply amazing.

If you are explorer and want to try something new then i would suggest to experience the Sherbaug Tent style stay at Panchgani. Its neat and clean place had camp fire. Not that good option for rainy season. Out side foods are not allowed. Free Breakfast facility is available rest everything is chargeable. For adventurous experience one time visit is must but during favorable climate. Happy Stay!
