We went to Upban lake on a Friday evening and it was moderately crowded. The lake itself, although not very clean is decent. It has options for boating and decent number of food options with seating. The area surrounding the lake is well maintained but the footpath around it can be greatly improved. It's okay for a one time outing or walk with family.

Its a good 45 mins hike from parking point but the view from top makes up for it.

Considering historical importance would recommend taking children along

Ellora caves are about 30km from Aurangabad (one hour drive). We hired a government guide from the ticket counter as our taxi driver advised us to beware of touts. Even though the cost is Rs. 1800 for the govt guide, it's very much worth it!. Of the most importance are cave 16 (Kailasa) and cave 10 (Buddist cave). If anyone wants a ride from Aurangabad or Shirdi to visit Ajanta, Ellora or other places around Aurangabad, please contact Mr. Hussain +91-9923616671. Very professional and knowledgeable about the whole area and a very genuine person who took us around all places.

Nagaon is a small coastal town located at 9km away from Alibaug city center. Nagaon is the best location to stay in Alibaug as it is in between Murud and Alibaug. We planned our two days trip to Alibaug in this March Month of 2022.
First day we visited Birla temple, Murud Janjira fort, Murud beach and Kashid Beach and then reached to Nagaon beach.

Nagaon beach features long shore, stretching up to three kilometers and meeting Arabian sea waves. Nagaon beach is Packed with Suru, Betel and Palm trees. This beach is well maintained in terms of Parking and Sports games. I was surprised that there is no parking charges but spacious Parking is maintained for 4 wheelers. Best part of this beach is there is clear sign board you will find for Parking, way to Beach.
Beach sports are available here. tourists can try various thrilling water activities like Jet Skiing, Parasailing, Bumper Ride, Banana Boat ride.

    Highlights of the Beach:
    1. Nagaon beach forms the central spot for a other Alibaug beaches. One side Murud side beaches and other side Alibaug Beaches. It is almost mid place and best place to stay for your Alibaug trip
    2. This beach is famous for Sunset and a number of professional photographers also flock to the beach to take stunning sunset pictures.
    3. This beach is famous for its cleanliness and also for water base adventure activities.

When we went to Kaas Pathar we took a detour and visited this place. There is an entry ticket for this (only cash) but it is worth it. There are walkways in this natural place to move around and see different waterfalls. Visit during monsoon to have a fantastic view. There is big waterfall and a few small ones and each has its own character. There is a restroom here and the place is being looked after and maintained well by the forest department.

Hike to Kalsubai in the Sayahidris

Countryside curated this walk for us on 30/10/22.. the timing being perfect as the rains finally seemed to have settled and the terrain was therefore comfortable to walk on. Their insistence on an early morning start and sticking to the schedule with extremely competent guides who were well kitted for medical issues was reassuring.
The walk itself was beautiful through hill trails and fields with ample opportunities en route to top up on hydration and chai.
Took in a stunning dawn and sunrise and made it down before the heat of the day started beating down.
The views from the top were glorious and the wind was pleasant and cool.
We were given a sumptuous tiffin box with healthy goodies… fruit.. thepla.. cheese sandwiches.. juice and more.
Thanks once again for organising this walk and a great introduction to this space.

Best place to visit is in monsoon ,with mist all around n surrounded with lush greenery. We had travelled by car and it takes around an hour to reach from malshej ghat , roads are good . Was less crowded on weekdays and with rains it had zero visibility that day. People trek to this place which I ve heard is worth doing. Come prepared with food and eatables as there are almost no option other than two kiosks selling wada pav n tea.
Worth visiting with family n kids

Nice quiet point to relax and unwind within walking distance of our hotel. Find a spot along the bank of the lake away from the food stalls and tourists!

A very unique garden based on the Indo-Japanese friendship. Its good for an evening stroll. The vendors outside selling the food items unnecessarily trash the whole garden. People need to be more responsible.
