What travellers are saying
- Julie MBrough Sowerby, UK104 contributionsIt's hard to express just how wonderful my experience here was, from the tranquil low volume music, the trickles of water from the fountain, the glorious smells of the various herbal remedies and massage oils, to the highly skilled, most compassionate Therapists and Doctors. I would recommend this clinic to anybody, with or without medical issues to take the plunge and visit here.
Feedback each day was passed on to Dr Sharun, and if there was an issue of any sort, was immediately remedied. I will be forever grateful to the clinic, and the beautiful members of staff.Written 8 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wolf Bogaert1 contributionAdishakti provided an absolutely amazing TTC experience. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable, the food is fan-tas-tic, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Aby, Raji and Jithu are sooo nice. I loved having them around, they were always ready to help out if I needed anything. Their energy is lovely. And their cooking skills are just on another level! If you're looking for a great place to improve your asana practice and immerse yourself more deeply into the world of yoga and Ayurveda, Adishakti is definitely a great choice.Written 15 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ana V2 contributionsMy stay in Agnihotra has being one of the most enlightening experiences I have every had. Rakesh is such a pure and compassive person.. I have learned really significant aspects related to meditation, yoguis philosophy, Indian culture and life in general with him. The food is soooo good! And the place is surrounded by wild nature, no more sound than birds singing… and it just takes 5 mins walking to arrive to wonderful beaches.
I’m sure I’ll come back to Kerala and I will do my best to meet Rakesh again :)Written 25 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I came all the way from New York in the hope of changing the quality of my life by doing the YTTC and to become a yoga teacher in the future. The school is not only the stepping stone for my yoga teacher journey, it also boosted my confidence to start teaching yoga to others after I taught my first ashtanga primary series class as a part of teacher training exam on the last day. Anyone aspiring to become a yoga teacher; Rama school of yoga is a great start for you future endeavor. It gives you a solid foundation about yoga including yoga philosophy, anatomy, methodology and the practice. The course fee is more than fair for the facilities and learning experience they offer. Thanks to all the teachers and kitchen staff.Written 8 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sofia FBarcelona, Spain4 contributionsI’ve had the opportunity to take yoga with Joseph during my stay in Varkala and the experience was amazing. The practice is challenging and he pushed me to go deeper into asanas, but always ensuring that everyone is safe and giving individual attention to all the people in the class according to their bodies and level of practice.
He’s very knowledgeable and have a lot of experience, you can really feel his passion. He made me feel more confident and happy, giving me very valuable tips.
Unfortunately it was a short stay in Varkala, but it will be a honour for me to come back and do the 200 hours course with him and his team.Written 17 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He is a lovely kind man and an ex excellent teacher. His classes are suitable for any level as he adapts each class to the level, I am not very flexible or strong so I do different poses for my ability, whilst others of more advanced levels do theirs. I can only highly recommend anyone visiting Varkala, go to his class. Thank you Haridas for all you have helped me with.Written 7 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susi1 contributionI got to know Ullas through the Joga Academy Freiburg/Germany where he also gives lectures.
Ullas activated and balanced my chakras and it did me a lot of good. Also the follow-up treatment and deep meditation was impressive for me. It is an enrichment to get to know Ullas, his methods and his knowledge about yoga.

It all asked hard work from our part too, but I’m amazed to see how many topics we could cover in one month, in such various areas as philosophy, ayurveda, anatomy, asanas, meditation and pranayama… One of the strengths of the program is that it’s delivered by a team of teachers with different approaches but that complement and feed off each other. The classes are definitely challenging but take place in a caring atmosphere, supervised by Anoop, a director with an inspiring life philosophy. I feel very grateful for being able to complete my 300h TTC there!Written 4 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
