My friends and I did a 6 day tour of Kerala in the beginning of January with Tyndis/TreeMonks and we only have good things to say about it. We visited Munnar, Thekkady, Allepey and Kochi, and saw amazing landscapes and experienced the Kerala culture. Everything was very well organized and had a balance of what we were looking for, nature and culture, and everything went smoothly with no issues at all. Our highlights were staying in the treehouses at NatureZone and the short hikes they organized, the Tea Museum in Munnar, night trekking in Periyar, the amazing day on a boat in the Allepey backwaters and the village tour or Kumarakom, where they showed us the traditional ways of working with coconut fiber, palm leaves among others, so pretty much everything! The homestays were perfect for what we were looking for, and we wished we had more time to stay and visit for longer.
We also had a really good time with our driver Dhaneesh, he was very friendly and had great recommendations for food, shops, activities or any random thing we wanted to do. He was always on time and very attentive to make sure we knew what we were doing next. We learnt a lot about indian and Kerala culture from him.
Naveen from Tyndis reached out to us frequently to make sure we were enjoying our trip and things were going according to plan. Everyone else that we interacted with at the homestays or boat was also very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this tour for anyone going to visit Kerala that wants a more local experience instead of resorts. We hope you had such a good experience as we did!
