Best museum in Kerala! This private museum has the best collection of paintings, photographs, sculptures, jewelry and various accoutrements of dance forms in Kerala that I've seen. They showcase beautiful examples of wood carvings and statuary from around the state. There are fine examples of Hindu, Christian, Islamic and Jain art as well as some ancient prehistoric artifacts. This museum has it all. They have also done a good job of providing informative signs everywhere.

One of the 'No to be Missed' spots in the city tour, this monument besides its steep historical value is also an interesting museum of period collections.
The architecture is typical of the region and the rich wooden usage is exquisite, indeed.

A nice Synagogue, well maintained and guarded by the military personnel with the real gun, which is important during the current situation. The people behave respectfully and you can enjoy the visit. A little museum provides enough information in English so visitors can learn about the Jewish diaspora in Kochi.

Decent food and drinks if somewhat overpriced however the set up is quite picturesque if you're into that so it makes for cute photo opportunities.
    Staff were attentive and helpful.

A v well preserved church which was replaced by a Catholic basilica. The artifacts from historical Kochi are well preserved. You can use your phone to take pictures but not a camera!

Really lovely gallery with very nice café attached. Service a little slow, but friendly. Best coffee I have had in Cochin. Yummy cheesecake.

Built by the Portuguese in 1510, the Church of St. Francis is thought to be India’s oldest European church. Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama was originally buried here. Although his remains were later removed, his unadorned tomb is set into the floor under a leaded glass window. The building is a handsome example of Portuguese Colonial style.

Our first stop at Kochi was the Edappally Church Complex, which mesmerised us all due to its grandeur and beauty. A very nicely maintained complex with old church adjacent is really a place to visit. Once inside you feel the peace with the majestic wall paintings, the large ceiling fans and other sculptures. Although it is a pilgrimage destination for Christians, anyone can visit and its really worth a visit.

Divine and humbling experience. Was fortunate to see the church on the way to Ernakulam. "Avalose unda" - made of rice powder and jaggery, the prasada is very tasty & divine

Located a short walk (2 minutes) from the Pathadipalam metro station. The museum has 3 sections, housed in different buildings. The history section gives you a organised peek into kerala history, using high quality dioramas with sound and light effects. The art museum has a good collection of artwork from across India, including two by Raja Ravi Varma. The display style and write ups about the artists are like what one would expect in museums abroad. The doll museum has a small but good collection of dolls representing different regions of India.

Takes about 90 minutes to cover at a leisurely pace

    Very helpful and friendly staff.

I had a great reference from a friend that had previously used Sobha Cab Services a couple years ago.
I contacted the owner Mr. Anoop Sivan and made arrangements for our upcoming trip in Feb 2024.
Our chauffer Mr. Sajil picked us up from Kochi airport and took us to Munnar, Kumarakom and Allepey.
We had a very good experience and here is why —-
    - Very clean car and great condition
    - Perfect Air conditioning
    - Amazing chauffeur ( Sajil) who was always punctual and polite and knowledgeable of the area. He helped us with the itinerary and gave very good recommendations and insights throughout our trip.
    - the owner Mr.Anoop was very easy to talk to and he made sure all my requests were taken care of.
    - he kept in touch throughout the process.
If you are looking for a cab service in Kerala, I would highly recommend them. It will make your trip stress free.
Sobha Cab Services - Thank you for helping us with our trip !
Will definitely come back and/or recommend !
