Established in 1997 in restored Dutch heritage house. The place was all about great art pieces, good food and beautiful ambiance.

A bit out of the usual tourist area. The modern Indian art plus the displays and commentary depicting the history of Kerala make it worth the journey.

The exhibitions when we visited reached from student works to established artists. The standard we very good. To have the artists present in some cases made for additional interest. The Durbar Hall is a special interior repurposed.

This is small on a dusty road, it has no natural light and is very narrow which makes it hard to look at the pictures. The gallery directors Sathya and Geetha Sai don't appear to have any business sense they never answer international phone calls or e-mails. They also don't appear to have much knowledge of the contemporary art scene. They also don't seem to value the safety of woman in their gallery or respect foreign woman. They are currently holding an exhibition for Indian art critic Manoj Nair , but they not include the artists whose work he admired.

They have nice things. They are good in selling. I stick to a price I was willing to pay. In the end they agreed, it was their first sale of the day .... But check the exchange rate.
The shipment took some longer: 2 months because of getting a Certificate for exportation by the Authorities that it was not antique? It arrived in good condition in wooden box.
