Ayurville was very hospital, taking the time to explain their offerings and letting us leave and book an appointment later by whatsapp. The full body massage was absolutely phenomenal - the masseuse was very patient in explaining the ayurvedic approach and spoke enough English to guide me through the process.

My friend friend got the leg massage, which was extended to a full hour to ensure her time was the same as mine. Her masseuses also took the time to find the problem areas and really work out the pains and kept up communication to explain what he was doing. Great massage!

Overall, Ayorville was authentically Indian with high standards for cleanliness and care! Very professional and easy to engage!

My stay at Veda Wellness was good in every way. Joseph and his team could not have done more to create a peaceful, clean, comfortable, healthy environment. I liked my room very much, and the balcony area. I loved the singing bowl sound-bath & the yoga on the rooftop. The massage was also great. The food was tasty, a nice addition could be fresh fruit and curd for breakfast... I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning!

I deliberately waited 3 months to write this review to let all the effects sink in. I had approached Dr. Veena to treat Systematic Lupus. I’m happy to report that after 3 weeks treatment and continuing with take home medicines, I’ve been able to cut down prednisone by 75%. I am still unable to be completely free of these chemicals but I understand autoimmune illnesses are stubborn and the hardest to cure. Dr. Veena was very clear about what to expect from our initial email exchanges. Realistic doctors who do not promise miracle cures is a good sign.

I was very impressed by how much attention to detail both Dr. Veena and Dr Hemesh pays to the patient. They notice and inquire about everything such as the rashes on the bottom side of my chin (who could have thought to check!?) and the fact that I was standing up very slowly or that I kept a hand on my stomach. With holistic medicine these are the things that matter and I have never encountered more diligent doctors in my life. (I have been to a LOT of doctors)

A detailed analysis in the beginning days is used to determine the patient’s body type and what is out of balance. More importantly Dr. Veena takes the time to ask about the effects of the treatment and how I am feeling several times every day. This results in a highly tailored approach to the individual, not just a blanket treatment plan for every patient who has a certain illness. And the ongoing adjustments ensure that I am getting the most appropriate treatment for my current condition.

The body treatments are carried out by therapist Ana who is very patient and skilled. (Male patients have a male therapist) I feel glowing in wellbeing after each session, usually twice a day.

Radha is a sweet lady in charge of meals and the household. Her cooking is very flavourful which made it easier for me to eat pure vegetarian for the duration of my stay. I even credit her in making me more vege based afterwards. It’s a great way to sample and learn about typical Kerala cuisine and the spices that one can use to enhance taste. The house is cleaned daily and so thoroughly. After 3 weeks I don’t know how to survive without Radha!

My only gripe are the mosquitoes, but that is because I am a super mosquito magnet. There are screens on the windows. Dr. Veena provided me with mosquito light and mosquito repellent as well as an electric mosquito swatter. Next time I will just bring a mosquito net to sleep under.

Dr. Veena’s husband Dr. Hemesh is an Ayurvedic doctor too who works at a government hospital. I had the good fortune of taking daily yoga sessions led by Dr. Hemesh in the early evenings. The style of yoga is the authentic kind, not the acrobatics that we often get in the west. I was surprised that such slow and seemingly light yoga had more profound results on my body. Later on I discovered I had much better flexibility which I did not achieve even when I did a crazy amount of ‘hard’ yoga before. I had the opportunity to ask all the little questions that I don’t get to ask in larger yoga classes. Dr. Hemesh was so patient and explained things to me from historic and modern point of view. Anything he could not answer he would look up in various texts and tell me the next day.

Early in their career they chose not to be another one of those touristy massage places but to move to a quieter location where they could focus on people who were in search of healing. They are not in it for the money, even retroactively giving me back what was not used. Their honesty and goodheartedness was truly heart warming. The doctors' dedication to their craft is apparent in everything they do. I can tell they have a passion in bringing the benefits of Ayurveda to alleviate the sufferings of the world.

I get the feeling that Dr. Veena and Dr. Hemesh are the perfect balance of being rooted in authenticity but with consideration of people’s modern lifestyles and mental state. They are good at coaxing the patient into doing their best and getting the maximum but also sustainable benefit of Ayurveda. They also have a seamless interface with western medicine. Well versed in all the medical terms and practices that patients come from. I felt very safe and confident that they knew how to work with the medications that I was already taking and how to slowly but surely reduce my reliance on them.

Blood tests were very easy to get when needed. There’s a service that comes to the practice and results are sent back very quickly.

Finally I want to say one does not expect one’s doctors to become friends, but that is what happens because Dr. Veena and Dr. Hemesh treat their patients like family. They took care of my needs in every possible way, even after I left. To this day Dr. Veena still checks in with me and helps me with any questions I have.

I’m sure anyone new to Ayurveda is quite nervous. I feel so lucky that on my first trip to India, first time to try Ayurveda I was fortunate enough to encounter Dr. Veena and Dr. Hemesh. Their professionalism and sincerity have given me very good results and most importantly the faith that I won’t be a slave to medication forever. I should mention during my stay the other couple that was there were repeat customers. That is a sign that the treatment really helped. I look forward to my next session with Dr. Veena. I know it will make me even better. I also look forward to seeing the big toothy grin of their delightful little girl.

After two years, I was back at Ayurdara for a four week treatment .
With the invitation letter from Dr Subhash, I easily got my e-medical visa . Filling up the Air Suvidha form online was simple thanks to the informations given by Ayurdara on its website (this must be done from a PC with Windows, the form cannot be submitted from neither any iOS device, nor any Android one).
The taxi driver booked by Dr Subhash was waiting for me at the airport, and what a pleasure to reach Albin’s Glory after all this time. How nice it was to see them all again.
I got very good and efficient treatments, followed and adjusted after the daily morning consultation with Dr Subhash, Dr Jyotsna or Dr Visakh.
The whole team was really paying attention to our well being and health security, everyone being vaccinated and wearing masks.
The foods were delicious, tasty and the peaceful atmosphere made my stay so enjoyable.
After this 28 day treatment, I reached my goal, I feel much better, and will for sure come back next year.

This is my second review about the Santata Spa and I am writing it again because the experience was incredible. This time my parents got to experience the rejuvenating spa and it was a wedding anniversary gift from me to them. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I should say it is recommended for all age groups. My parents felt really comfortable during the spa and the Santata was really welcoming. It is difficult especially when you are abroad and want to gift your loved ones for their special day. Mr.Amal made it easy and possible for me and without his prompt communication and responses I would not have been able to make this happen. The staffs are extremely friendly and provides the best services. I am really looking forward to experience it myself. I would highly recommend Santata to those looking for a wonderful spa experience.
