A lovely relaxing journey gently winding our way on the river backwaters which included a typical Keralan lunch. A well organised and thoroughly enjoyable day at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

The tea garden views are amazing.
The included lunch is also delicious.

Elephants do as they are please so there is a chance you don’t get to see any.
We were lucky and got to see one at the very start of the trip. We then waited a couple of hours at the elephant village view point but none came, it’s the name of the game.

Ganesh, our guide was very patient and passionate about telling us all about the area and it’s stories.

    A very good day out!

This was a dreamy and fantastic experience. The driver, Mr. Sumesh, received us on time and was very pleasant. He was so courteous, helpful, and found great restaurants along the way. Stopped at nice and hygienic places when we needed to take a break. He was very friendly and easy to communicate with. He answered many questions and offered us nice insights about the areas we were in or where we were going. He gave us good suggestions for shopping.

Sanguine Holidays had put together a great tour package that covered so many beautiful and fascinating places. Once we made the payment, it was hassle free. Everything was taken care of.

The hotels were very, very good. Almost heaven. The rooms were so immaculate and comfortable. The buffets had many options with a lot of local food selections. There were events like dancing, cooking demonstrations, and options to play games in the game rooms. We had a private pool for our cottage at Thekkady that had a view one can only imagine. Both Munnar and Thekady Blanket Hotels have views as scenic and breathtaking as I’ve ever experienced.

The houseboat was such a dreamy experience. it was clean and well kept. The food could not be better. Seriously. There were 2 people on the houseboat. The Captain, Mr. Lijjo, was very friendly and we got to drive the boat a little bit. The chef, Mr. Anoop, prepared delicious food. When we stopped for the evening, he called a rickshaw driver for us, and helped with the sightseeing when we stopped for the evening. The overnight stay in the houseboat was safe and comfortable. The room was quaint and had well furnished. It had a houseboat feel, but not “just a boat”. It was a joy.

We absolutely recommend this tour offered by Sanguine Holidays. It is absolutely worth it.

The whole staff starting from the pick up and drop off from and back to hotel was an amazing experience. The driver was very friendly and patient. The staff on the boat including the chef were excellent! The food was great! They have maintained an excellent time schedule.

The guide Shiam Salam was great. Was expecting us at the gate of the ship. We took the tuk-tuk ride, which is an experience by itself.
Cochim is an interisting city specially for its european rota and mix with indian culture.
We net to churches, spice market, dutch palace and hindu temples.
Great journey with this Service provider.

The trip was great, the driver helpful even with other, extra things (buying sim card on the way, etc). The only negative thing is that the price shouldn't be different for a single and two persons.

One of the best tours we've ever been on with the most passionate and intuitive storyteller, Rizwan. He just knew how to spin the most memorable historical stories that'll not only help you remember a place but provide answer to questions you've thought of but haven't even asked. Definitely well worth the 6am start time to enjoy the calmness of the Fort on bicycle (read: safe on the roads) and watch the city slowly come alive as we rode our way across to Jew town.

What a great experience! Floating down the river was so relaxing. We sat at the front of the boat and felt like VIPs as we watched the scenery go by while our fantastic crew attended to our every need. The meals on board were excellent. Our bedroom was cool at night. They stopped at Champakulam, a small town on the river, where we could shop for the usual tourist items. But the real attraction of that town was the St Mary's Basilica just beyond the tourist shops. Founded in the 400's, it's gorgeous inside, with painted walls and ceiling. Overall we had a wonderful time and felt like we really got to see Kerala
We had one traumatic thing happen at the end of our trip. After we got off the houseboat, we had to take a water taxi to get to the dock where the cars were parked. Our luggage was on top of the taxi along with the garbage from our trip. At some point, the garbage bag flew off the taxi and into the river. We can only hope it was an accident.

We got a good condition Maruti Ertiga which is very important. Our driver Mr. Eby was a good person and talked about the basics of each location we visited. Apart from the spice garden, old church and tea factory visit, we saw rubber and tea plantations on our way. We were also able to spot some wild elephants on our way back which was the highlight of our tour. However, a single day journey to Munnar from Kochi and back can be exhausting for elderly due to long driving hours. And it's only recommended for people who want to see things quickly like us.

Fantastic. Shared car to the boat although you can book a separate car but it's costs more. Beautiful, and the lady was so helpful and had lots of knowledge. I went solo and felt very comfortable. The lunch was served on a banana leaf, and it was so tasty
    I highly recommend this experience.

Incredible experience, highly recommend exploring the backwaters by kayak rather than by motor boat, it was so peaceful.

Watched the sunrise from the kayak while eating a mango, stopped off for banana fry and tea, chatted with locals. My guide Amal was really lovely, had a great time chatting and exploring the waterways with him
