- Sandy_JSRJamshedpur, India1,179 contributionsVisited the Tannibhavi beach on a Sunday afternoon, it is one of the most popular beach. It can be reached either by land or by ferry from Sultan Battery. We took the ferry from Sultan Battery and then couple of minutes’ walk to the beach. It is an expansive and clean beach with relatively calm sea, has spotted tourists taking bath. Concrete benches are provided at the beach to sit and enjoy the view. Beach also has tree park which provides comfortable shades in hot summer and a beautiful view. The beach has some basic facilities like lifeguards, washroom, parking lot, a couple of small eateries, souvenir and junk jewelry shops etc. A nice beach to spend some quality family time, especially in the evening to enjoy the sunset.Written 29 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Radhakrishna Mallya49 contributionsOne of the beaches which has rocks on the shore and sea as well! A quiet and less crowded beach is there for enjoyment... evenings are the best time to visit. It can get lonely at dusk and hence best to leave, with respect to safety.Written 10 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- NishanthBengaluru, India23 contributionsThis is a full day activity and in case if you visit this place for only half day or few hours then you will be able to see 2 or 3 things only. We had around 3 hours of time hence had to choose 2 activity. We opted for Zoo visit and Arts and Gutthu house visit. Zoo was maintained well, as the animals were looking healthy compared to few other zoo in other cities were animals look malnutritioned. This place is in outskirts of Mangalore but not very far though. Just a drive of 20 minutes will take you there. Need to buy tickets for each activity or can buy one ticket for all the activities. It is better if you purchase a buggy ticket for travelling between attractions otherwise you will have to walk between attractions and might loose your time just for that.Written 27 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Renuka KDavangere, India2 contributionsIts heaven on earth. Silent place to have a glance of beautiful butterflies. - Sandy_JSRJamshedpur, India1,179 contributionsThe Sultan Bateri is a watch tower, constructed during the era of Tipu Sultan, presently only a decaying structure exits. During the visit of Tannibhavi beach, visited the place. The place has been renovated and painted, thereby was clean. It is a very small structure, around 30 odd stairs to reach the top, from where other than view of adjacent river, there is nothing more to see / do. A visit along with visit of Tannibhavi beach may be done, otherwise specific visit is not recommended.Written 29 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
