This was our trip back to Bangalore in 10 years so the expansion of the city and changes were very noticeable. this was once the heart of shopping in the city, but no more. DO go to get a feel for the old city - no longer as bustling as it once was, but still worth visiting.

We went on a little tour of Bangalore and visited the Bull temple and Ganesh temple. They are just next door to each other.
The bull temple was very interesting and the story behind it fascinating.
The Ganesh temple was much more active with local people coming to worship.
It was absolutely fascinating and something I don’t think we will ever forget.
We are a British couple and all the people whilst practicing their religion were extremely welcoming and we felt comfortable being part of the experience.
A fascinating experience that I’m very glad we took the time to appreciate.

Visited Vidhana Soudha during my trip to Bangalore, and it's a must-see! The place is like an architectural boss – especially when lit up at night. Seriously, it's so grand! Whether you're into history or just want a cool Insta pic, Vidhana Soudha should be on your Bangalore to-do list.

You pay INR 480, and you will probably only spend less than an hour here. Although the entrance fee comes with an audio guide, I skipped it as I had my own local guide. It's probably worth to see to understand abit more about the Bangalore royal family, but that's it. You will only get to see 2 or 3 rooms and that's it. The Interior is not entirely well maintained and there isn't any fan or AC inside the palace. To me, i don't think AC is required, but at least there should have been fans in the interior to help with the air circulation. Also, the surrounding gardens are not really well maintained as well (pls don't get fooled by the images you see online). Overall, if the royalties go to the royal family, I feel that they should do more to help improve the visitor experience.

Beautiful temple with very artistic gopurams and ornate sculptures. Dress code is mandated and women have to have to tie hair before entering. Could do Darshan at leisure as got there by 8:30am.

World Cup Cricket 2023. Wanted to Enjoy & wanted have The Feel of Three Decades Before Ranji, Test and other Matches. Due to Security Reasons could Not Carry The Fantastic Home Made BisiBele Bath, Chapaathi Aloo Gadde Palya, Mosaranna Pickle. No Time pass Kadale Kaayi, Masala Majjige etc. But KSCA has made Very Good arrangements. Decent Food, Snacks and Free Water served. Coming to the Match part, England team Apne Galli mein Kutta be Sher Hota Hein. Once again Very Disappointing Display of Cricket in World Cup. No Technique in any Player as to How to Play 50 Overs Match. Little exception Ben Stokes. But he was also failure could Not show his prowess
. Srilankans showed Once again their Superiority in Worldcup against England. Very Pale match for KSCA standard. Hardly 300 runs for the whole Match.

Basavanagudi refers to the Bull temple in Kannada. The word Basava means Bull in Kannada & gudi means temple.

I have been to this place various times with family for visiting the temples - Dodda Ganapathy temple, Sri Ramakrishna Mutt, Bull temple, Sri Gavi Gangadheeswarar temple etc.,

Basavanagudi is one of the residential & commercial locality at Bengaluru. All basic amenities like hospitals, schools, colleges and markets are available nearby. It is located in the heart of Bengaluru.

Do you want to become a child again? Do mythological stories attract you? Welcome to a resort like no other!! Omthara will take your breath away with its exquisite life size sculpting and tabloids depicting the Hindu Epics such as Mahabharata and Ramayana apart from a myriad of stories from the Puranas.

Nestled amidst vast landscaped gardens that depict sculpting of Buddha's enlightenment and a courtyard which reverberate with the Gayatri Jaap in the morning, Omthara is the brainchild of the creater of the world famous Amar Chitra Katha series.

The rooms are well appointed and the food is simple and yummy. Lunch at the beautifully designed terrace overlooking lush green coconut plantation is a must. The staff is hospitable without being conspicuous. If you crave quiet, lazy and comfortable break, look no further.

The other highlights are the light and sound show on the 10 Avataras of Vishnu and the stunning event hall. For the adventurous, there is a granite hillock right behind which offers a good steep trek ending atba Shiv temple atop it.

Just a 1 hr 20 min drive from Bangalore makes Omthara a great day plan or an event venue. Try it once and soak yourself in the beauty of Hindu Mythology.
