A must do Shikara ride. Very safe and the markets is not for selling only. It’s a floating Reastarants. The Kashmiri Gawa is the best I’ve had in 8 days, hot chocolate for young son, crispy French fries. All amazing

Nigeen Lake is better and more peaceful lake than that of the Dal Lake. Its clean and provides peace of mind while staying in a houseboat.

A temple that is central to the beliefs of Kashmiri Pandits, has seen some bad days in the recent past due to terrorism, but coming back to its past glory as peace returns.

It is well maintained, no worries about having to deal with touts etc.

And less talked about is the really tasty Kashmiri veg thali that you get at various stalls in the temple premises (rajma, yellow paneer, nadru Yakhani, khatte baingan, dum aloo, looch)

Must visit place. Pony ride deep into forest hills nearly 6 hours with family reaching a huge lake. Ride into wilderness is memorable. No comission to cabs hence not popular/ promoted but must bargain rate. Gentle ride unlike Gulmarg, Sonamarg.

This is one of the 3 Routes to Reach Srinagar from Jammu.
Although its a bit tough one and Closed for 4-5 months due to snowfall
If you travelling in July Aug than before travelling confirm about Landslides as it's quite frequent on this road.
Also carry good amount of food in your car so if you stuck in any Road block
You can survive for few hours.
    After crossing Peer ki Gai
You won't find any good restaurants till Surankot.
Last tip: Drive via this road only if you are perfect in driving and have a great control over your vehicle as it's beautiful and dangerous ride at the same time.

Situated along the banks of dal lake and nestled in hundreds of mighty chinar trees, nasim bagh is a must visit spot for autumn lovers. Nasim Bagh which means the ‘mornning breeze’ stands up to its name as cool breeze from the Dal lake adds pleasantness to the wide expanse of chinar trees.
The Chinar trees are laid out in ‘Char Chinar’ pattern, four chinars in four corners of a rectangular piece of land, so that a person in centre would be under shade at all hours of the day. No place can match the beauty of this place in autumn. during autumn, Warm crimson red leaves falling from the chinar trees fill the campus and truly make it a unique place for visitors.
