Every day's plan was very well chalked out. Loved the attention to health status, the predetermined menu for all the meals.
All through the trek I had a feeling of being in safe hands as well as a sense of being an equally responsible trekker.

mukhtar was a great trek leader. Enjoyed his company all through. he got along with everyone comfortably with his easy go attitude, keenness for conversations with everyone about almost every topic :)
he helped the entire group gel very well with his games and icebreakers.
he had a very healthy balance between being joyous and fun loving as well as a responsible trek leader inciting discipline and responsibility in the group.
he connected with everyone by sharing his personal outlook and interest towards nature. The highlight for me which I shall carry all through would be the moment when he made us hug a tree. Not knowing how to get about it we searched the net for suitable tour agents here in SL but none showed up except for many starting from India. One agent caught our attention- C Himalaya Tours and Travels. This website showed a comprehensive tour of Kashmir covering almost all the tourist areas with 4 star hotels at a very reasonable price, starting from Srinagar.So we decided to take a chance and see what they had to offer. Yasser Yousuf alias Reyan Ahmed was very helpful and took great pains to accommodate us with an itinerary of our choice. All done on the phone . Added to this he also extended the tour to include Agra (Taj Mahal and Red Fort) and Delhi.
We had very good Hotels and comfortable SUV vehicle. Till the very last journey to the airport. Another friend and wife joined us. So it was a personalized tour for four.
We saw all of Kashmir as promised. Srinagar- Dal lake, and the Mughal Gardens.Gulmarg- snowcapped mountains and Gondola ride. Pahalgam -Betab Valley, a Village and nomadic houses on the hills.
Sonmarg - the Gumrii mountains, Zojila zero point and glacier. All in all It was an unforgettable experience . Even the Taj Mahal and Red Fort in Agra. Thank you Reyan!!
The only disappointment we faced was that the gondola ride in Gulmarg was not booked for us.
