Tulip Garden in Srinagar is a breathtaking experience that truly showcases the beauty of nature. Spanning across lush landscapes, the garden bursts into color each spring with a stunning array of tulips in various shades. The vibrant flowers, set against the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas, create a picturesque setting that feels almost surreal.

The well-maintained paths make it easy to wander and take in the beauty, while the scent of blooming flowers is delightful. It's a perfect spot for photography, picnics, or simply soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings.

The best time to visit is during the Tulip Festival, when cultural performances and local crafts add to the vibrant atmosphere. However, even outside the festival, the garden is a peaceful retreat.

Overall, Tulip Garden is a must-visit for anyone in Srinagar, offering a unique glimpse into the region's natural beauty and horticultural richness. Whether you're a nature lover or just looking for a serene place to relax, it’s an unforgettable experience.

A beautiful place to visit , Amazing view and superb landscaping. Your taxi is forced to halt at parking which is about 2km away from the proper doodhganga. There you have to hire pony or a motor bike for sightseeing. The rates of both pony and motor bike are negotiable. They just come down to 50% depending upon rush.Any how it is a magnificent place to visit

This hidden valley, often called 'Kashmir's Switzerland, is blanketed with snow in winter.
Take a scenic walk through pine forests and enjoy the serenity of frozen rivers and untouched landscapes.

The views, Autumn colours on Chinar trees were beautiful, the garden itself is a treat but being under renovation there was a lot building material which scattered around which took away from the experience somewhat

Badamwari gardens, almond gardens are believed to have existed before the fourteenth century. The setting is very tranquil, beautiful and vast. There are many almond trees spread out as well as gardens with beautiful flowers. You can see Hari Parbat fort from the gardens. I visited the gardens after visiting the Fort.

The gardens are not as crowded as some others that I visited but there were families and couples sitting on the benches. I visited the gardens early October, the trees bloom in spring - best time to visit. I had a wonderful leisurely walk and sat at one of the benches and enjoyed the surroundings.

    One hour drive from Srinagar.
From Ganderbal you leave the highway and take village road. Road is narrow but good and one can enjoy the countryside.
Can combine with visit to Kheer Bhawani temple and Wular lake.
One can view the lake from the park or from outside the park.
There are a number of entries to the park. Entry fee is Rs 24 per person.
For better view and activities it is better to enter the park.
Park has enough shade and benches to sit.
The place is fairly quiet as there are not many tourists. Lake is famous for its Lotus flowers.
One can take a Shikara ride and children can enjoy some rides in the park on payment basis.
There is a restaurant inside the park and a food court outside the park. There were very few options for eating as most food stalls were closed.
It is advised that one should carry your own food as good food may not be available on this circuit.
There is an ancient submerged Shiva temple on one end of the lake which can be approached from outside the park also. A caretaker is available who for a tip will take you inside the locked premises to feed fishes.
Time required around one hour, more if you take a Shikara ride (Rs 400 for one hour)
