It’s an ancient cave temple built entirely from wood dedicated to the deity - Hidimba Devi. It’s location is just perfect, amidst a forest and walkable from Manali Mall Road! It was crowded and we had to be in a queue for sometime to reach the temple garbha gruha however given the climate it’s not a pain to be in the queue! You can spend sometime in the forest, take pictures with cute rabbits there yaks and also in their traditional Himachali outfits !

The Beas River Beautifies the entire Manali but it has few cons as well. If you get too close it is one of the most destructive as well.

All the Hotels which have river view entire credit goes to this very same river. Everywhere there is beautiful place and river edges which really pleasing to eyes it is because of Beas River. It is everywhere starting from Solang to Kullu (River countinue to flow after Kullu) I want mentioned that where it goes there is scop of tourism restaurant and so many others things. Hence it is true that Rivers are the life line of any Courtesies.

Before even reaching there, the journey from Manali till Manikaran (about 2:30-3 hours) is lovely - the views are rare and amazing, it’s something only eyes could experience, our cameras couldn’t ! It’s a serene place and a place of pilgrimage for Sikhs , you also find an adjoining temple - both have histories and myths and religious significance! You can also find a hot water spring besides the Parvati river here!

Historical temple with Hot water bath..

It has two temples situated in the same vicinity right next to each other..
It is situated right next to the main market..
If you are going via your own vehicle, parking space is available some 200-300 metres before the temple.
You have to walk to the temple, an auto facility is also available which drops you right at the footsteps of the temple.

If you want to stay in the vicinity, many logde and guest houses are available.
One can also shop for local stuff in the market leasing up to the temple.

At this time of the year (November 3rd week) to reach the snows from the drop off point required a hike of about 4+ Kms, not everyone's cup of tea! However ponies are available for those not willing for the longish walk.
The views as you walk up are a feast to the eyes, and every bit worth the effort. A hot plate of Maggi after a romp in the snow rounds off a well spent morning

A great memorial museum dedicated to the works of the Roerich family, particularly surrounding the Agni Yoga. It also doubles up as a house museum and a painting gallery. The estate is quite large so you may want to budget at least 2 hours here to really soak in the information and also wind down as some parts offer good view of the valley down below.

Some do this in 2-3 days but we did it in a day. It is a 9 hr 16km return trek with lots of steep uphills and some walking across rocks (although not as big as at Beas Kund). The lake was OK but the whole experience is unforgettable.

Very nice site with multiple waterfalls. It is a bit out of the way and when we were there there were only a few locals.
If you are staying a night in Jagna I would definitely recommend to go there.
