- MG17 contributionsI stayed at the Radisson Udyog Vihar and saw this store at the reception. I decided to buy gifts for my colleagues. I bought 2 pure silk jamawar scarves and altering seeing the quality even decided to buy a pure premium handloom pashmina stole for my wife. She absolutely loved it. I have thereafter visited their stores in Janpath and Okhla too. The staff everywhere is so nice. I had so many questions and they helped answer all. No surprise, this is my first review for a store. This establishment has single-handedly transformed shopping from a mundane chore into an utterly enjoyable experience.
From the tasteful design of the store, the selection of merchandise, to the impeccable service - friendly, helpful but never overbearing, the Shop stands out. The carefully curated display makes it feel more like a classy art gallery, than a clothing/fabric store. The general vibe is charming yet quirky, reflective of the owner - the ever exuberant Vandana, who is always happy to offer you her opinion on what will work and what won’t.
I, someone who once considered purchasing a striped shirt to be an act of daring, now proudly own an impressive collection of half a dozen malmal printed shirts, all thanks to The Shop. I also find their splendid assortment of stoles the perfect choice for gifts, whether for birthdays or corporate occasions.
The Shop has now become a highlight of Gurgaon that I take all of my visiting friends and family to. I like their FIG (Anjeer) and Mamra Almond in dry fruit. Gujarati gathia, besan papadi and coconut oil banana chips are very delicious. In Gurgaon finding homemade pure pickle is difficult but they have mango meethi chatani and spicy hing pickle without oil which are awesome in taste.
