I did not expect to learn and enjoy so much upon visiting the Rani Ki Vav, Patol Saree and Sun Modhera Temple. From house floor planning to trade conduction and punishing those who broke the law, But I have to admit it was our guide Mr Girsh Gupta that really made our trip worthwhile, as, without his descriptive explanation, he was able to bring back the past to life just through his words. - Richard B37 contributionsWe found this provide online prior to our arrival in Ahmedabad on 2/6 and scheduled a 4 hour day trip to see some of the highlights of the city. Our drive Vijay was very responsive on whatsapp, was punctual and also understanding when we had a last minute delay in the pickup time. He greeted us with a smile as we walked out of the hotel and was open to seeing the sites we wanted versus what we had originally signed up for. Taking us to the atm for a quick stop before site seeing was not an issue and he had a lot of good information about the different areas of the city as well as recommendations of things to see that we had not otherwise considered. We never felt any time pressure to get in and out of a location nor to be constrained to by a time limit. He was always checking to make sure we were comfortable. Ramesh was a fantastic driver, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride throughout the day. He was punctual, friendly, and always ready with a helpful tip or two, making our trip stress-free and enjoyable.
Paras, our guide, was an absolute gem! His deep understanding of Ahmedabad's rich history and heritage brought each monument and site to life. He took us through the city’s fascinating stories, from the intricate architecture of the pols to the ancient stepwells, and his passion for the city's culture was contagious.
Both Ramesh and Paras went above and beyond to make sure we had a seamless experience, and I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore Ahmedabad’s heritage. Good audio is available in all languages to guide your round the part of the Palace that is open to the public. The building is a magnificent testimont to the architecture of the time it was built. - Dani MGreat Brington, UK72 contributionsWe didn't do enough research and ended up travelling long distance to the temple, to find put that it's a new temple with no spirit, I'm afraid. We did a small ceremony, water pouring over the statuette of the Akshardham, which we haven't done before. But the music and the singing came from a CD.
