We found this provide online prior to our arrival in Ahmedabad on 2/6 and scheduled a 4 hour day trip to see some of the highlights of the city. Our drive Vijay was very responsive on whatsapp, was punctual and also understanding when we had a last minute delay in the pickup time. He greeted us with a smile as we walked out of the hotel and was open to seeing the sites we wanted versus what we had originally signed up for. Taking us to the atm for a quick stop before site seeing was not an issue and he had a lot of good information about the different areas of the city as well as recommendations of things to see that we had not otherwise considered. We never felt any time pressure to get in and out of a location nor to be constrained to by a time limit. I would definitely use this company again.

The city tour of Ahmedabad was a great one. Girish picked us from the hotel and we had a great time listening to the stories and exploring heritage monuments like the Gandhi ashram, Jain temple, Siddhi mosque and also a quaint bazaar. The step well was marvelous and i had never seen anything like it before. The lunch was a sumptuous Gujarati meal. It was a wonderful experience and possibly the best way to visit Ahmedabad.

This is one of the best tours I have been on. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of India and of Gandhi. He gave us a profound education on the political history and Gandhi’s role in that history. The Ashram was a great representation of all that Gandhi did to try and change people’s minds about utilizing non-violence in every aspect of ones life. It was a wonderful tour that I will always remember.

Rani ki Vaav at Patan and Sun Temple at Modhera are both close to Ahmedabad and can be a great exploration for a day trip to some amazing history.
Architecture of ancient #india is a visual art, and the buildings speak for themselves. The #sun #temple is one such beautiful #monument located at #modhera village in #gujarat .The temple halls have intricately carved exterior and pillars. The reservoir has steps to reach the bottom and numerous small shrines.

Patan is famous for its #amazing history, #architecture (Rani ni Vav) and #artwork (Patan na Patola).
Rani Ki Vav (Queen's Stepwell') has been listed as one of the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. It has the finest and one of the uniquest architecture. It is designed as an inverted temple highlighting the sanctity of water, the stepwell is divided into seven levels of stairs with sculptural panels of deities, apsaras from various mythological stories.
#patola is a double #ikat woven #sari usually made from #silk . They are very expensive, once worn only by those belonging to #royal and aristocratic families.

I signed up for the day tour from Ahmedabad to modhera sun temple, step well and patola silk weaving tour. It was an amazing day. The world heritage site of Rani ki van was incredible. It had 5 storeys and was a marvel of ancient engineering. The Sun temple of modhera was another beauty. The design again was divine. We also got to meet silk weavers jn Patan and it was mesmerizing to see the weaving of Patola sprees. Five Senses Tours did an excellent job with a lovely guide and a comfortable and clean car which picked us from lobby of our hotel on time. This tour is highly recommended for anyone coming to Ahmedabad.

We booked this tour to experience the "real" Ahmedabad, and man, it delivered.
Our guide Nayan was very well informed, showed us around to different hard-to-find spots around the city and was very flexible, adding a well worth detour to the walk when he noticed our interest in a specific story he was telling. On every of our questions, there was a satisfactory answer.
He also felt a bit like our personal guardian, showing us how to safely cross streets, looking for solutions with people at the mosques so I could enter (stupidly wearing shorts that day) and checking if cafés were billing us properly.
Speaking of the café, it's well worth following Nayan's suggestions here. The quality is high, the price very low. Ask him about the local food market too if you don't have clear dinner plans after the tour, which was also a great experience for us.

To summarise, if not clear already, I strongly recommend this tour.
