This is well worth a trip. So much information on Gandhi’s life and his philosophies. The place is very peaceful and you can reflect in the garden where Gandhi used to meditate.

I was lucky to meet an excellent taxi driver called Deepak Pandya who I used all over Gujarat. A clean new car, safe driver and good for knowledge and conversation. Deepak has a 5-car company called Swara Cab Service and is contactable on +91 7984058964.

Good place. You should visit it mostly during the evening time since during the daytime sun is too hot and very less shade is present. You should enjoy the water show and the water rides if feasible.

Seth Hutheesing Kesarsinh, a prosperous 19th century Ahmedabad merchant, was the one who began the building of this very ornate stone temple in the mid-1800s; after his death, it was completed by his widow, Harkunwar. The temple is estimated to have cost about 10 lakh rupees at the time, now equivalent to approximately 75 crores.

Even on the outside, the temple complex is very intricately carved in the Gujarati-Maru style, with lots of carvings of deities, musicians, dancers and so on. To enter the temple, you have to take off your shoes and leave them on the racks outside. Inside the main shrine, even photography is not allowed. The temple building has profuse carving all over and a striking floor of inlay work in various colours. Small shrines with heavily gilded and bejewelled statues of the Jain tirthankars stand inside the main temple as well as in the corridors surrounding the courtyard in which the temple building stands.

Worth a visit, because the carving is so impressive.

The museum of vintage cars is just amazing .
All the cars have been well labelled and has all collections from British, US, and European countries.
Also the cars owned by Maharajas are kept for viewing.I personally feel that they should not be charging any fees for photographs as they are already charging for museum fees.
There is a thali restaurant @430 per person inside the premises. The Rajasthani food thali was excellent in taste.Overall a wonderful experience.

As with most ISKCON mandirs (Hindu places of worship, introspection, & spirituality), this mandir had exquisite paintings that told stories important for our lives, beautiful murthis (images of Bhagwan, or God), anda wonderful vegetarian restaurant called Govindas. I was very impressed with the # of young people who came from work for the 12:30pm aarti.

Science city is the nice place to visit with family or friends. There is many places with full of information and nicely placed. Planetarium is very nice. Newly developed Nature park is great to hang out. Aquarium is world class with a very wide variety of fishes. However, some of the older things are not properly maintained e.g., the hall of fame and hall of science is in pathetic condition without literally no maintenance. This is a very poor sign and if not handled properly other new things will also become like this. Government must take care of its proper maintenance.

Sidi Saiyyed Mosque is known famously as the Sidi Saiyyed ni Jali. It's situated in the center of a busy cross-roads in the old city of Ahmedabad. It is best known for the ornate lattice work and the famous ‘Tree of Life Jali’. We visited it in the evening and the light from within the mosque passed through the intricate carvings to display the architectural wonder.
