- Edward W6 contributionsMy 4th time to Goa. Something new discoverd and experienced each time.More positives than negs. Visited January each time. Worth revising prices of goods before going if you wish to economise. Take plenty mosquito repellent, they love the smell of sweat and cosmetics in the morning + dusk. Practice defensive walking on theroads!! Beaches are fantastic but be wary of swimming in the sea. I love Goa and the people. Downside I have to return to UK weather.Written 6 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Very peaceful, calm beach with clean water. Visited by very less people, who mostly reside in nearby resorts or home stays. Mornings are awesome here. And late evening sunset with some food on the shacks nearby.. they just create a different vibe.
Also, go to this beach in the night in December and you will find glowing algae here.

- PeyroutelAt my Computer147 contributionsOut of the way, approx two kilometres from the main road and central Benaulim. Worth the effort as quiet and non of the usual stream of hackers pestering you all the time.Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David DDevon, UK28,168 contributionsSunday 3rd of December and I walked from Gonsua Beach, in the direction of Colva, which led me to this Beach. It is located along the South Goan coast sandwiched between Lover's and Betalbatim Beaches
This is one of the many smaller beaches that combine to form one massive stretch of golden sand beach along the coast washed by the warm waters of the Arabian Sea.
There are numerous concrete circle blocks provide coastal erosion protection are along part of sand dunes, not the most attractive sight but necessary.
This was previously the home of Amri's Sunset Beach Shack, which was located on the sand dunes. On this occasion there was no sign of the shack, the dune was empty and there were no facilities on the Beach.
There were a number of fishing boats resting on the beach and in the dunes alongside basic fishermen's hut.
On the beach there was some sort of makeshift structure with a roof topped with dried palm leaves. It could become a shack on the Beach, who knows. Will find out when we return in February 2024.
Although there was little or no people on this stretch of virtually deserted beach, there was a Lifeguard on duty. Perhaps this was to it’s proximity to Nanu Beach Resort Hotel, just over the sand dunes.Written 27 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are three separate parts, transport, farming and general household items gathered over the years. And an excellent tour guide who was knowledgeable and able to answer any questions.
Looking at the conditions the locals worked under, and their ingenuity to improve daily life was a marvel. Farming was back breaking manual, yet photos show smiling people.
The transport was both clever and intricate, adapting to local terrain.personally I thought the closed wedding carriages(must not be seen by anyone before the ceremony) was a harsh local custom. And cramped.
Household implements were clever, and I recognised versions of what we used in England.

Truth be told, you must visit and walk around Old Goa to really get a feel of what it represents.Written 15 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
