What travellers are saying
- steve b21 contributionsWe were on a way somewhere else when the taxi driver suggested stopping here. What a gem.
There are three separate parts, transport, farming and general household items gathered over the years. And an excellent tour guide who was knowledgeable and able to answer any questions.
Looking at the conditions the locals worked under, and their ingenuity to improve daily life was a marvel. Farming was back breaking manual, yet photos show smiling people.
The transport was both clever and intricate, adapting to local terrain.personally I thought the closed wedding carriages(must not be seen by anyone before the ceremony) was a harsh local custom. And cramped.
Household implements were clever, and I recognised versions of what we used in England.

Truth be told, you must visit and walk around Old Goa to really get a feel of what it represents.Written 15 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Absolutely jammed with wooden (mainly walnut) carvings and furniture it is a showpiece to the owners love of Kashmiri carving and woodcrafts ranging from dining tables and cabinets to tiny carved animals and bangles.
And make sure to make time to talk to the owner about his homeland, its history and culture. We found those conversations as fascinating as the items he stocks.Written 2 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The quality of the items on display was excellent and there was a large variety of gems and finished pieces to be seen. Naseem, the manager explained that they would eagerly undertake to produce items to order should customers wish to design or specify items to their own taste. Heritage also provide a repair and refurbishment service at reasonable prices. My wife had a Tanzanite and diamond ring which she wished to have remodelled, Heritage undertook the task to her instructions and she was delighted with the end result.
We heartily recommend this company and believe they offer excellent quality and value for money.Written 8 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Philo3 contributionsTraveling to GOA in itself is already wonderful, adding a trip to a local jeweler will turn it into an unforgettable experience. Manzoor created a stunning ring for me from topaz together with diamond and saffire. It reminds me of the sun and blue skies of GOA every time!Written 8 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
