Definitely a hidden gem - you would need to know someone local, to tell you about this church. Truth be told, you must visit and walk around Old Goa to really get a feel of what it represents.

Traveling to GOA in itself is already wonderful, adding a trip to a local jeweler will turn it into an unforgettable experience. Manzoor created a stunning ring for me from topaz together with diamond and saffire. It reminds me of the sun and blue skies of GOA every time!

We were staying nearby and chanced upon this place. The owner - Mr. Victor Hugo Gomes himself gave a brief introduction of the Museum . Approx. visit duration is ~ 2 hours. I was amazed to see such a widespread and rare collection dating back to several past years. We got a dedicated Tour Guide who explained on the 3 main sections of the Museum. The museum has a fair share of Local Goan History as well as from across the country specially of pre-Independence day era. The artefacts primarily covered the Transportation aspects as well as included the day-day chores not limited to the Cooking aspects, sanitization, eating habits, medical needs, recreational facilities, communication protocols, armory, fishery, plantation and agricultural aspects. They also had a Cafe but was closed due to renovation work as well as due to Covid. Think they should start that and have Light refreshments to offer . Was astonished to understand from Mr. Gomes that this was just 10% of his personal collection and wherever possible all these artefacts have been restored . Located quite close to the Colva Beach , tickets are priced at 300 each and is suitable for all age groups. It was truly a fascinating experience and to dwell into the rich history of Goa was quite enlightening..

Called in again to say hello having visited in the past. Staff were just as helpful and the jewellery just as beautiful. It was very easy to buy although almost too much to choose from. We were delighted with our purchases and would certainly go again. Can't recommend them highly enough.

We were staying in Joecons beach hotel and looking for a reputable Jeweler. We visited various Jewelers in Benaulim and were even taken by an Indian friend to a margoa Jeweler. However none of these could show me anything of interest. Then we went to change some money in jewels of India and whilst in there met a lovely couple that had been having Jeweler made there for several years and she had been thrilled. So we started chatting with Naseer about having a ring made. I had photos of a similar design. He proceeded to show us the difference between the size and quality of diamond. After chatting with my husband we decided to proceed leaving a substantial amount of money as a deposit. The ring was made in two days and is absolutely gorgeous. After being very nervous I could not of been happier with the end result. They also took my other rings and cleaned them all up free of charge. I will be getting the ring valued and I can assure you if there is any discrepancies with the value I will be back on to let you know. The Ladie who recommended the shop had said everything she had made was at least triple the value.
So I would highly recommend Naseer and jewels of India .

If you are one of those people who simply cannot resist picking up a piece of carved wood and stroking the carvied or polished surface, then this is the place for you. Absolutely jammed with wooden (mainly walnut) carvings and furniture it is a showpiece to the owners love of Kashmiri carving and woodcrafts ranging from dining tables and cabinets to tiny carved animals and bangles.
And make sure to make time to talk to the owner about his homeland, its history and culture. We found those conversations as fascinating as the items he stocks.
