- Rupali12 contributionsCellular Jail is a must when visiting Port Blair. It has been maintained well. They have a Light and Sound show in the evenings which describes the whole narrative. Tickets for the same can be booked online through the Andaman Tourism official website. Make sure you are booking in advance to avail front-row seats.Written 3 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LinShillong, India10 contributionsWas in Port Blair for a day. Lucky enough to meet Babu a driver who took us to Chidiya tapu. A great driver with reasonable charge. Phone number: 9933235410 .It's was a great afternoon drive about 45 minutes from town. Saw the biological park and the beach - different from the sandy beaches in Havelock. Coming back he took us to places for food and shopping - 👌🏼.Written 26 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EasyBobEngland250 contributionsWe travelled with 3 different ferries, and besides the first one, in which most on board were very sea sick, they were very comfortable. Just the boarding and landing process, this was a free for all to put their luggage off and then get it back again! There needs to be a better system surely? On Havelock island while waiting for the Neil ferry, there wasn't much shade and facilities to wait in, so that was not pleasant.Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Satyendra GargNational Capital Territory of Delhi, India6,972 contributionsBefore covid intervened Jolly Buoy was the best thing tourists were doing in the Islands. It is a boat ride from Marine National Park at Wandoor which takes one to the beautiful Island. The boat ride itself is a wonderful and beautiful experience where one can se beautiful islands and green surroundings on the way. At Jolly Buoy ride of glass boat to see marine life underneath is an experience. The variety of marine life simply amazes you as it is so beautiful to look at. At the Island, which is a small Island sitting and walking on the sand, sitting on trees hanging in the sea is such a beautiful and memorable experience. One wished to just live there and experience the glory of its beauty. But all good things in life come to an end. An extremely beautiful experience.Written 21 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AshishAnchalNoida, India91 contributionsNice place nice staff just what is missing is a slight punch of navy. Once being operated by Indian Navy, finish what you call as navy edge does not exists there.
If they can arrange one or two staff in naval dress to be present at the museum particularly for weapons section then it would be nice.
A small section for kids to encourage them to join navy, some section of valour of navy would be more appreciable.
Rest I loved the place, neat, clean, good collection.Written 7 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Divyang TandelSurat District, India1 contributionIf I have to describe my experience with Dekho Andaman in one word than it is "Tauseef". Yes it is true, he made my entire experience a super smooth right from inquiry, booking and throughout the entire trip he was super supportive.... and not only that, he proved to be real trustworthy even after completion of our trip. I have countless phone conversation with him and he responded with due attention, no matter at what time I make call to him.
He have given full attention and time for customizing my trip and also have shown flexibility to offer some of additional services which I have requested during the trip without any addition to cost. All Hotels offered are just awesome...it was memorable time that we have spent here in Andaman and we will cheriesh it in our memory for entire life.
The quotation offered was quite reasonable against the class of Hotels, ferry and car transportation that was provided. I would say you will get full value for your money. Since Dekho Andaman operates from Andaman itself so they knows better, they have better hold in their region and they can manage better than any other local agent in your city or state.
During our trip there was cyclone and weather was very bad due to which we were not able to do some of things/activity as per agreed itinerary but Dekho Andaman was gentle enough to refund me against the service which we were not able to enjoy. That's why I told that they are trustworthy even after completion of trip. Also we were stucked on neil island due to cyclone and non operational of ferry service but Tauseef have shown full support to adopt changes due to situation and he quickly have arranged another hotel for us to stay, but luckily ferry service resumed at late evening and we got rescued from neil to Port blair. That's why I told that the Local agent like Dekho Andaman can manage better than the one in your city or state.
Lastly I came to Dekho Andaman by seeing so many 5 star positive review and then and there I have decided to book through them which turn out to be super right decision. I will give 10 star rating out of 5... go ahead for booking with them with eyes closed, you will never regret...all your worries will be taken care by them and you enjoy the trip....once again real thank to Tauseef and Team Dekho Andaman...Written 25 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Balbinder Singh BGurugram (Gurgaon), India5 contributionsGo here only if you are interested in underwater sports activities, this is known as coral beach and has amazing biodiversity. we did snorkeling for 1000 bucks person and it was a serene experience, we loved it - totally worth it. On the other hand avoid glass bottom boats. Total waste of money, it's a fraud. they take 2500 per person and take you for a 1 hour tour. Out of which hardly 15 min you can go in the lower deck for watching fishes and corals. Their glasses are blurry plus it a lot depends on weather too I guess. Out of 15 minutes. We could see just two types of fishes for 5 minutes. It was very disappointing for the price we paid. You have to pay separately for the food which is equally terrible. we ordered nachos and salsa, which was basically the lowest quality packaged nachos chips with tomato ketchup. When asking for the actual salsa, they said this is what we serve. In further arguments, they put a little bit of cheese on nachos instead and made ketchup super spicy by adding bits of tomato and onions. We had booked a Dolphin boat which didn't come at all, so we had to convert our tickets to a submarine glass boat . So in summary. AVOID glass boats and go for actual under water sports!!?Written 25 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
