I wish we could’ve stayed a little longer at each island but it was still fun. We decided not to do the plankton because it is a little wait but it’s not bad if you’re actually prepared! - JLA539Northbrook14 contributionsGreat private trip to Rosario Island, Cholon, and Baru. We had a great time with Kevin and his partner(driver) on this 9 hour private boat tour. Started off on the 45 minute drive out to Rosario, with stops along the way to see the historic fort at the entrance to Cartagena bay. Stopped to check out Pablo Escobar's abandon mega mansion he built in Rosario. Then onto Rosario where we dropped anchor and spent an hour doing amazing snorkeling. I've snorkeled all around the world and here near Rosario was among the best with abundant fish life and crystal clear water. Next was a trip out to a small island that we pulled right up to the sandy shore and walked right out bare footed to grab lunch and drinks. Next was another snorkeling stop then another random beach. This time we dove into the water to get to shore, walked up and down the sandy beach then swam back to the boated to go to 1 more spot for swimming.
The only thing that went wrong as that we were promised snorkel gear was included on the boat but when we got to the snorkeling area the boat drivers realized they had forgotten them. No problem though, there were guys riding around in boats renting good quality equipment so we were able to rent and snorkel. The drivers of the boat didn't offer to pay for the rental, so I covered the cost. Some people would probably make a big deal of who pays, but it was 80,000COP = $18USD.

It was a 30 min experience but was very fun. The best part of our tour was the tour guide, we were lucky enough to end up with Camilo.
