- GrethaLas Vegas, NV185 contributionsWe went to Angkor Wat like 4:30am to watch Sunrise, but unfortunately. There was no sunrise that day due to cloudy day. There was so many people coming to see the Sunrise. We bought ticket online for $37/Person, This is a whole Day pass that you can go check out other temples like Bayon Temple, and the temple that has big famous Tree. So, anyway. Expect that there will be too many people because this is a tourist spot. A lot of annoying photographers as well that will approach you for $1 - 1 picture. Even if you say No, they still keep trying.Written 24 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- EYeoSingapore, Singapore222 contributionsIt was the 4th temple from our guided tour, and we were too tired to explore Bayon by then. So we made a 2nd visit, and was very glad we did. Spectacular. Don't miss Baphuon temple which is 8-minutes walk away.Written 19 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Morten YusupovaBathurst Island, Australia10 contributionsThis temple is famous for its giant tree roots growing over the ancient ruins. It felt like stepping into another world! A must-visit for history lovers and photographers.Written 16 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - places2seeplaces2goEngland, UK7,024 contributionsA busy area consisting of a few streets. Lots of bright lights & loud music.
Not as busy as I’d thought it would be, but then many Cambodians told us that since Covid tourism is not what it was.
Felt quite safe there,as there were plenty of tourist police.
Went in a couple of bars. Very cheap alcohol, cocktails tasted cheap too !!!Written 25 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The wooden buildings have disappeared over the centuries, leavin the magnificent remains of temples, palaces and walls for 21st centry vistors to admire. The scale is awe-inspiring but so is the intricate detail of the carving. An unforgettable visit.Written 8 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jpcheshire1615Wilmslow, UK602 contributionsThis was perhaps our favourite temple of the many we saw in our stay in Siem Reap. It is older (10th century) and smaller than some of the others such as Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat and the scale felt more human. The detailed carvings are stunning.Written 9 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Dylan M22 contributionsThis is a very sobering museum about the remnants of war that kill many civilians. The founder, Aki Ra, was a child soldier with the Khmer Rouge after which he defected and dedicated his life to helping children and demining communities. There is an insane amount of ordinance in the museum that was disarmed by him. Really important history and worth a stop either just for the museum alone or with temples along the way.Written 17 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LSQRD1Kent, OH897 contributionsWe very much enjoyed our visit to the Angkor Museum. It provides a chance to view a range of sculptures and gain more understanding of the temple. I think we were able to appreciate this well because we had a guided tour. The building itself is nicely done and the gift shop was great--lots of unique products.Written 18 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Isabelle D4 contributionsMade in Cambodia is a must visit market in Siem Reap if you are looking for high quality items and want to support local artisans. Each stall is different, it's smaller and quieter than other markets and so the experience is far more pleasant. The main thing is that you'll find excellent quality goods. I bought a blanket from Sokhem at the Art of Textiles in 2016 and it's still so soft and the colours vibrant 9 years on I wanted to buy a different colour. Superb quality, choice and a great price.Written 19 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Julia @Scrumptious SolentSouthampton, UK4,579 contributionsInteresting temple which was dedicated to the kings father. It took 5 years to build and has a mixture of rooms/buildings including a library and a room where the kings sacred sword was housed. There’s a dancing room featuring many carvings of the apsara dancing ladies.
I liked the mixture of complete walls/rooms and carvings and other areas that had obviously collapsed over time. It’s a ‘flat’ temple which means you get great ‘lines of sight’ through the many small rooms and doorways giving a fabulous perspective to the north, south, west and east.
The surrounding temple walls have large carvings of Garuda on them and the whole temple is surrounded by a moat.Written 26 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Many good vendors. T-shirts, food vendors, trinkets all mixed with the local culture. A visual treat for the eyes.

You are given a map and guide yourself round reading the information boards and seeing the pictures. It explains what happened at certain spots on the tour, it is a very sad experience about man’s capacity for cruelty to another man, woman or child. We need to keep these atrocities alive in the hope of it not happening again.Written 18 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve C15 contributionsHuge thanks to Kakada for his help recommending a great tuk tuk driver to take us around the temples if anghor Wat for the day. Kakada was sadly unavailable, but he connected me with his brother Tân Veach. Tan was a great person, and a true embodiment of all the fantastic and hospitable Cambodian people we met during our time there. Tan was brilliant at communicating with us ahead of the trip and highly punctual. He was a safe and responsible driver, and was always at hand to supply us with cold towels and water, a thankful blessing in near 40c heat! Tan showed us some great spots and was a talented photographer too, so we got some great shots during the day. If we had have had a little more time, I would have asked to to take us exploring further on another day, but sadly our time in Siem Reap was short. Would highly recommend contacting Kakada to ask for Tan's tuk tuk services! Thanks Tân, you really helped our visit to Cambodia start on a great note. អរគុណ!Written 22 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
