- NotTheLastJediMelbourne, Australia455 contributionsWe visited the Kampong Khleang stilt house village and floating village during the 'wet' season, which meant that the village was only accessible by boat. This was a wonderful way to spend half a day. Round trip go for at least 2 hours to the villages to see local life and wildlife
Restaurant boats go to interesting but I would recommend only drinking cans
The crocodiles are very popular and you can feed
Local rowboats go from the restaurant to farms

The drive takes more than an hour to an hour and half each way but the visit can be done in about half a day. He is very safe and the tuk tuk ride was one of our favourite things.. very relaxing and fun. He always had a cold drink and lovely chilled lemony towels when we returned to the tuk tuk. The work New Hope does looks like it really helps the community and assists students with their education and many more things. The artwork is truly beautiful, and the prices fantastic. They wrap your pieces up very carefully so they can be protected in your suitcase.
The staff are friendly and obviously very passionate about their work.

The Phimeanakas which is a temple still standing is beautiful. Lots of upscale shops with a wide range of Cambodian handicrafts and other products, including one that gives samples of various flavored rice whiskeys.
