We chose to contact Mr Wang for our visit to Angkor Wat temple as we saw he had great reviews and it was the best decision. Mr Wang was a great driver, very polite and driving safely and always had water and cold towels which were very much needed after each temple visit. We also had Tom as our guide for all the temple visits who was super knowledgeable, friendly and kind and was a fantastic guide to take us around.
    Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Big thanks to Daniel for organising a great tour for us around the temples. He organised a great tour guide (Savun) for us (included in the price) and drove us around all the different temples that we wanted to visit for a very reasonable price! Icing on the cake was the free beer he gave us at the end😊 Big shout out to Savun our tour guide which Daniel organised for us. Savun was excellent in his knowledge of the temples and made sure we didn’t miss any important parts! Savun really made sure that we learned about the history of Cambodia but also the new opportunities and struggles the Cambodian people are faced with. In summary, we definitely recommend getting in touch with Daniel👍

Ta Prohm, famously known as the ‘Tomb Raider Temple,’ was one of the most atmospheric sites we visited in Siem Reap. The way nature has reclaimed the temple with giant trees growing through the ruins is both mystical and beautiful. It’s less crowded than Angkor Wat, allowing for a peaceful exploration of the temple. A truly unique experience that transports you back in time.

All reviews are right, once again: Sunsets from the top of the pyramid are spectacular, but because of that, they are a mass event - can't be helped. Still worth it, and if you're tall, you can still make great pix. Zoom pix of Angkor Wat (on the other side of the sunset) are spectacular too but these days, they just look like drone shots. I think it's one of the best sunset spots in SR and I would recommend.

Wat Bo is North East from the Old Market, across the river. It is a bit dusty (as are most of the Monastery's in Siem Reap). GPS 13,21' 23.29631 103 51'41.0191 There were two or three main tourist highlights very worth browsing. The first is that this monastery has an area where temple reliefs, Buddha statues and ornaments are made (or practised to be made). You can watch wooden statues being carved or see plaster templates of architraves and columns. A second attraction is the "Path of Buddhas" - a long outside corridor of Buddha statues. A third is the cemetery area. Another area worth looking at was the Temple building - which at the time was being renovated - but care must be taken as the floor tiles can be easily cracked. Too, there are toilets available. Remember, as usual, that entering any buildings means shoes and hats off.

Before you go, make sure you have story shoes and are in reasonable physical condition (no need to hit the gym, there were retirees and children doing it, but if you are not steady on your feet, accidents may happen).
A bit off the beaten track, this temple does not have decorations, but it is still very impressive by size alone. Climb to the top, enjoy the view and hold on tight when going back down - no rails to hold on to!

The Eastern Mebon stands as a cherished gem among the temples of Angkor. Its allure captivates visitors, particularly when bathed in the gentle glow of sunrise or sunset, casting a mesmerizing aura upon its ancient relics. Unlike its bustling counterparts, the Eastern Mebon offers a serene ambiance, inviting exploration at a leisurely pace. Strolling through its expansive grounds, one can't help but be enveloped by a sense of tranquility, making it an ideal sanctuary for introspection and appreciation of Cambodia's rich heritage. For those seeking solace amidst the grandeur of Angkor, the Eastern Mebon beckons with its timeless charm and understated elegance.

Mr Seng made our trip to Siem Reap so easy. After contacting him, he suggested an itinerary for seeing the temples which fit perfectly with our time there. He is a safe driver, very flexible if we wanted to add in a stop, very prompt and always had cold water ready. He is very easy to talk too while driving around and has extensive knowledge of the area and Cambodia to share. I would highly recommend Mr Seng’s services to anyone visiting the area.

Really after Angor Wat the other temples look small and often in disrepair. This is a nice small temple with Five towers on one terrace. It is a Hindu temple. It doesn’t take much time to visit and it wasn’t crowded

This is a local style temple at the south end of the Royal Independence Gardens in Siem Reap. The temple grounds are open from 6am to 10pm daily. The exterior architecture of the temple is typical of others you will have seen during your travels in Cambodia and Thailand. Most interesting and the main reason for visiting are two statues within that believed to be of Angkorian princesses originally located in the Gallery of 1000 Buddhas at Angkor Wat that are held within this small temple.

Considered sacred, the two statues were hidden and moved to different locations for many years by protective monks in order to keep their whereabouts unknown to invaders and treasure hunters. However in 1990, the sisters were settled here at this temple.

Today, there is a constant flow of visitors making offerings the two sacred sisters. What you will see are two tall and thin statues as well as other smaller figurines. You'll also see numerous stands on the east side of the temple selling incense, flower garments and other items which can be made as offerings to the sister statues within the temple.

Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chom Temple is convenient to see if you plan to pass through the Royal Independence Garden while in Siem Reap. Allow 5-10 minutes for your visit, remember to remove your shoes, cover shoulders and be respectful of local customs when entering the shrine which holds the statues.
