- AEA TravelsMinnetonka, MN11 contributionsAmazing experience. If you can swing the price for the 154th floor experience, which was about $190 USD per person, I highly recommend it!! You are swept by all the long lines and straight to the top. Floors 152-154 were calm and beautiful with outstanding service. They arranged chairs in a quiet alcove for our family of four and served us champagne and other refreshments. There were small canapés and sweets also. They took pictures of us on our phone so we had some beautiful photos for free. They also take more professional pictures for sale. The views are amazing. You then can go down to floor 148, which was somewhat hectic in comparison but beautiful (I think this is the floor with the outside terrace which was great). You then go down to floor 124 which was absolute chaos in comparison with long lines to buy souvenirs and to get the elevator backdown, but you skip the elevator line if you have the high floor ticket. The food court offered a variety of reasonably priced meals. The mall is very large, but the casual and luxury brands are separated into different areas, which made it easy to shop. But after staying here we know for sure why it is called 7 star hotel, definitely worth it. We will come back here the next time we are in Dubai! The Kite Beach hub has lots of food and beverage options, plus volleyball and padel courts and sun beds with paid access.
There is plenty of parking and a bike/ running track behind the beach.

- JudeeLivermore, CA1,582 contributionsI got to this very clean, powdery sand beach from the old Dubai souk area by metro and then taxi. It was very quiet when I arrived around 1 PM and was even able to get a lounger under an umbrella. The water was warm and salty, but with my swim goggles on I could swim to the ropes and back. There are lifeguards watching and this is open 24 hours with these huge lights for the night time.
There are clean bathrooms with no toilet paper so I had to take off a rating point for that. I don’t see a lot of parking available so come by taxi, or public transportation. I noticed a very wide and clean path to jog or scooter on as well. Today wasn’t a big party day, maybe it’s crazy at night time. I enjoyed then peaceful time and recommend this beach. I will add if you’re a male make sure when leaving the beach area to put a top back on I made the mistake of leaving with no top on to walk back to my hotel and was stopped by security to put it back on. The artificial island in form of a giant palm tree features top end residences, luxury hotels, the giant Atlantis hotel and the brand new ultra luxury Atlantis The Royal. There is a monorail with four stops, a very convenient means to get around, and the day pass is not expensive.
