We've been there on numerous instances and never were bothered by anyone. Some people will try to sell you stuff (drinks, tours) but they're not insisting and very polite overall. Water is clear, beach is mostly clean.
Price is fair for this kind of beach.

Wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. The only negative is that there is construction of a new hotel in the area which blocks the view of the Burj al Arab hotel from the beach.
