I went for one of their most expensive events and I was appauled by the whole experience.
The event was not even set up ready. The "luxury yacht" then departed an hour late and returned 40 minutes early.
We were told that dubai municipality had put rules in place for new year so could only have 30 guests on the yacht. For this reason we all had to pay an extra 300 Dirham. Totalling 1200 Dirham each. On the actual night, onboard the boat/barge was over 100 guests, so it was all a complete lie. It was impossible to socially distance and we have contacted dubai municipality regarding this.
Once boarding the boat we were told there was only seats on the lower deck... we then sat in a smelly, dirty lower deck watching later guests get tables on the top deck. After complaining, the staff agreed they could set a table up.... which took a whole hour of standing around waiting for them to do!! I could have done it myself.
We then sat and waited..... and waited.... and waited watching a number of other tables appear for other guests. They hadn't set the tables up because they didn't want anyone seeing there was more than 30 guests obviously! It wasn't until people complained and wanted their money back they then had to risk it and put them on the top deck for people to see.
An hour later than told, we finally had to queue in a line of angry passengers for a drink, before eventually setting off.
Then the music stopped, not that the DJ was any good. I could have plugged my phone in and had a much better time. The staff were not fixing it, so it was left to a customer to fix. A new year luxury boat tour with no music? What were you thinking?
The toilets were sickening. That's all I want to say.
