- sociallylivingManassas, VA72 contributionsClean, safe, fairly easy to understand, inexpensive, good station locations, easy transfer to trolley in Jumeirah area. We did not want to risk driving, and taxis can get expensive and there are many scammer taxi drivers.
Emirates is built to drive, but we used this metro as well. From our hotel by Burj Khalifa, there is a completely enclosed air conditioned walkway to the metro. The Monorail has only 4 stops, the starting point close to Dubai Marina and the last adjacent to the Atlantis hotel and water park. Runs about very 8-10 minutes each way. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Helen P1 contributionOur flight was delayed and while no driver met us we contacted Peter the Coordinator through What’s App. I couldn’t believe it all worked as this was the first time I used What’s App. Peter called me and said I’ll be there in 2 minutes. And there he was. Very helpful. Very friendly and chatty. When our nominated driver was not so close he arranged for a closer driver and we were on our way in 15 minutes. Our driver was fabulous. He was a great conversationalist and found his way around the traffic. Al Sofouh beach and the Palm was a great choice to be shown because he knows the gems! Whatever you might want or need he try his best to accomodate. Driving skills amazing, he avoid an accident (not hisbfault at all) impressively. However a must do to go to the Atlantis.
