- Kim GToronto, Canada1,362 contributionsThis was quite the place and aptly named. We have visited many gardens around the world. This one was very different than most.
Massive amounts of flowers decorate large-scale displays. In typical Dubai fashion, they even do their flowers up on a grand scale! The location had huge flower arches, a castle, a Smurf village, an Emirates plane, etc. It just went on and on. Pretty incredible to see. The grounds were very clean and they offered food stands around the perimeter and shaded areas with tables to sit down and eat.
It was over the top but you get used to that in Dubai. We found it quite interesting and enjoyable. Good for a nice walk with interesting visuals. I noted shops and stores as I walked towards the Abra Station where I rode the local boat for 1 AED.
The boat ride was short, about 5-7 minutes. There is a Souq or a small market area where one can shop for clothings, spices, nuts, bags & luggages, jewelries, etc. Of course there are small restaurants along the creek and near the Souq.
I enjoyed my visit here. - らわManchester, UK1,509 contributionsThis was a really nice and massive aquarium, they had so many types of fish including massive sharks, crocodiles, penguins and even reptiles and Manta Rays. It takes about 2-2.5 hours to do everything other than the diving. We did the whole package except diving, which costed 299 AED so it’s quite expensive. There is not really food inside, just a coffee counter with ready made sandwiches so best eat before or after. It is very crowded. The trainers were professional, ensuring our safety while allowing us to enjoy this intimate encounter. I don't remember the names of the three ladies who were in the front office, but all of them were very friendly and helpful. We exchanged our burgees and then we had a lovely lunch in the restaurant.
I can't say enough about how friendly everyone was and how warmly we were welcomed. They honor reciprocity and the club is stunning with fabulous facilities. In general, it safe and clean place, but may be some changing rooms and toilets need to be refreshed. Entrance by RTA cards, price AED 5. The set of sunbed+sun umbrella AED 30. The Lost Chambers Aquarium is also interesting to see. Also here is a beautiful water park, Atlantis Aquaventure. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, but you can also sit on your own towel, if you want. It was really beautiful, surreal and interactive being here with all birds and animals roaming freely inside without being caged. We loved it here. One of the highlights of our Dubai holidays.
