The drive up the hairpin bends gave wonderful views of Kotor Bay but the view from the Mausoleum was amazing (only 460 steps up a shaded tunnel so fine to do even in the heat).
Fabulous road with endless amounts of hairpins but the views are breathtaking.

I have been lucky enough in my life to admire wonderful views, from san francisco and sydney bay to capetown from table mountain, norwegian fjords, and Rio... these views of the Kotor bay, are majestic, unique!
I ascended 1355 steps (260 m) to the fortress, and was rewarded with spectacular views of old town Kotor, the harbor, the newer town and surrounding rugged limestone hills.

Beautiful old fort, and shopping, great restaurants and if you are fit enough climb the steps to the fort at the top of the mountain, visiting the small church's on the way, for a breathtaking view of the bay.
It's a bit of a hike and gets the ole heart pumping, but you're rewarded with amazing views of the old town, the bay and beyond.

Along the path you get the odd trader selling water, which is very welcome and when you reach the church ( Aka our lady of Remedy) its a small church beautifully preserved and has a fantastic view of Kotor old tow...
It may be steep, but the views are magnificent and it is well worth the climb, the earlier in the morning the better.

This lovely and wide open square translated as Town Square is the first site that greets you as you walk through the gate into the Old Town.
Had a Great day here walking the narrow streets taking in the local sites.

Our tour guide pointed out that this is the only church in the world where visitors can view a bone chip that belongs to Santa Claus.
As one travels throughout Europe, there are many opportunities to pay to view masters.

This is an amazing Cathedral and well worth the small admission fee, as you get to go through a small museum and enjoy beautiful views of the town square below from it's towers.
It has a magnificent collection of robes and silver with exquisite paintings located on the upper floors with a balcony to view the square from above.

the church is over 800 years old and surely the oldest in this Unesco World Heritage site of Kotor.
