They had lots of interesting artifacts from days gone by relating to Inuit Culture, but the most fascinating thing seen, were the mummies of the mother and child. I was startled, and did not know they were there, and started to scream! It was featured in an issue of the National Geographic Magazine. I was there in October 2019 actually. I was stuck in Nuuk in a snowstorm and I was glad to be able to spend my afternoon in this lovely art museum, sheltered from the howling wind and snow. The museum is admission-free, and the staff was very kind to offer me a museum map and give me a brief introduction of the museum and several major art works. The collection is a mixture of styles, including traditional Greenlandic art & crafts, European-inspired paintings, modern art installations, and posters/prints. It is an interesting place to look at Greenlandic culture.

This is a beautiful, small, partially abandoned settlement on a small island in the fjord near Nuuk. No one lives here full-time anymore but many people still use their family homes as a weekend summer getaway place.

I have visited that place to have a lunch, as it was highly recommended. I went for Greenlandic tapas and it was a great choice. The service was great, speaking English and very attentive. I strongly recommend this place if you are in Nuuk.

I really enjoyed touring with University of Greenland with the tour guide in October 2019. Very interesting paintings of Inuit life on the walls of the school. Beautiful building as well.

Must visit walking around the old city of Nuuk, one of the most colorful towns in the world. Once visiting the Hans Egede House, visit the old church, the look out point, national museum and harbour.

A great little ski resort with two lifts (both pomas) one is quite short and the other longer. Mostly local kids but a fun place to spend a couple of hours. You can hire skis and snowboards on the mountain and there is also a cafe. No clothing hire.

Beautiful views over the water! A really unique place to do a few turns.

Small City Mall in the center of Nuuk. We shopped here briefly looking for local items and we got a coffee and paid for some internet access. We could not find free internet access. There is a grocery store, a pharmacy, a hairdresser, and several clothing stores. A one-stop-shop in the center of the city.
