Just discovered this delightful park, a stone's throw from Historic Annapolis. $6 entry fee required to enter but the staff at the entrance could have been a little more friendly. When I asked questions about the park, about the history, wildlife and when it opened, the woman didn't seem to know. Strange. She works at the park and yet knows nothing about it. 350-acre park, lots of places to roam and great deer habitat, although my girlfriend and I didn't see any, but it was our first visit. Great birding opportunities, especially around the water. Never seems crowded even though quite a few people were in the park. I like that feeling of isolation. Has a Dog Beach where people can take their pets for a dip. Not crazy about that as I am not a dog person. Still exploring other parts of the park so eventually may give this park 5-stars. Many buildings to explore and there is even an art gallery available.
