- RudySzymonChicago, IL1,598 contributionsLong walk along the shore of the Pacific connecting Casco Viejo with Flamenco island. Many people ride the bikes, scooters, running or just walking , especially in the evening.Written 11 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RudySzymonChicago, IL1,598 contributionsThis place is full of vendors selling all kinds of stuff. From food to molas. Many people are walking all the way to Mercado de Mariscos. - ZeituniJerusalem, Israel1,640 contributionsIt is natural, that on arriving to Panama City we went to the ocean. But, except for a small part, all the Avenida is divided from the ocean by the wall, so you do not see muchWritten 18 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Suum Cuique33 contributionsTo get a grand view of Panama City, go to Panaviera. It's breathtaking, to say the least. Show up early, around 4ish, and u won't be disappointed. As for the rest of the experience, go somewhere else unless you are on a hot date and planning on drinking regardless, then stay, as the irrelevance of the staff, lack of basic services, and quality of drinks won't matter. :)Written 23 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ilove2travel77Hamilton, Canada114 contributionsWe visited for the day with the intent of hiking the Cerro Pichacho trail and then going for a swim. The trail was great - very steep and challenging with amazing views. We paid 2 to park the car at the parking lot while we hiked. We then entered the park to swim, but found it very rocky and difficult to get in the water. Water shoes would be great for this. We ended up just eating our packed lunch and enjoying the views. The bathroom was like a typical gas station. No toilet paper or paper towels but relatively clean. We would return to use the trail but not likely the park itself. Cute stop along the way though for a stop and the drive to it was lovely (road was rough last few kilometers with lots of potholes and tight curves).Written 12 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael R1 contributionErnesto provided our group of 7 outstanding service over the 4 days we spent in Panama, starting with (1) airport pickup at PTY, (2) tour through Panama City with highlights to the Panama Canal’s Miraflores Locks and Visitor Center, the Amador Causeway, a stop for lunch at a great out-of-the-way local restaurant at the beach, and excellent visit to Casca Viejo, (3) tour to the Embera indigenous village along with hike and swimming, and (4) transfer to Colon where we boarded our Wind Star cruise ship for passage through the Panama Canal and up to Costa Rica.
Ernesto is reliable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to have as a driver and guide. His English is excellent and customer service outstanding. Our entire group enjoyed spending our 4 days in Panama City with Ernesto. I highly recommend using his company for transportation and tours when in Panama City.Written 10 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Eric, our tour guide is very dynamic, friendly and very knowledgeable. While on the tour, Eric provided just enough information to keep us captivated. Eric took us through the entire social spectrum of Panama City. We came to know that like many countries and places in the world, Panama is a very beautiful place. While staying here in Panama City and nearby towns, the people are unbelievably polite and friendly. Eric took us to Miraflores Locks in Panama Canal. We saw a few big ships passing through the Locks in the canal, which was fun to watch. Overall we really enjoyed this tour and will strongly recommend it!Written 19 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I didn't think I'd be interested in the Canal but must say I enjoyed and was quite fascinated with the Canal Tour. We participated in 3 of Rudy's Tours on our 5 day stay in Casco Viejo. Appreciated the AC Van and all the amenities Rudy supplied. Beach trips he provided towels, hammocks & bottled water and the boat trips into Mangroves were included. He is very patient and dependable, always on time. He also provides airport pick ups & drop offs and if he's not available he'll send someone. Any questions were answered immediately. I've already recommended Panama and Rudy's Tours to some workmates.Written 10 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
