Well organised tour. Our guide, Pavel was really helpful and informative. I found Peles castle more interesting than Dracula’s but glad we visited both. Bravos is a cute little town and we can recommend eating Sarmale at La Ceaun.

Otilia and Bogdan were both superb during our trip. Nothing was too much trouble and the information regarding both castles, Brasov and Bucharest was spot on. A thoroughly enjoyable but long day! Would recommend to anyone looking to do this tour.

Extended 3 days in Bucharest after a cruise, and booked a local tour agency known as TravelMaker. It turned out to be a lucky blind pick. The owner himself, Dan Penciu, arranged 3 tours for us---Inside the Parliament, world's largest building; walking and dining in Bucharest's Historic Quarter, and a day trip to Transylvania and Dracula's Castle. Dan led us on the Parliament tour, and although he's been there numerous times, seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. Sometimes it's best to stick to a local tour agency than an international one.

Lucia was a very good guide. Funny, knowledgeable and accomodating to the groups needs on this very warm day. The tour was full of info about everything from politics to architecture. Would recommend!

After three days on tour in Bucharest my family and friends were ready to see a different side of the city. This tour did not disappoint. We braved 100 degree (F) weather to experience delicious Romanian food and local hangouts that you can not do with larger groups. Our guide, Bogdan, educated us on the history of the city and how that influenced the architecture. He shared with us popular Romanian street food which in a few cases he purchased from small shops with just windows. The food-related highlight of the tour was our visit to the Obor farmers market where Bogdan purchased fresh fruits, vegetables and cheese. He then took us to Terasa Obor - a popular place frequented by the locals for their delicious mici. The fruits, vegetables and cheese were prepared by Bogdan and served with the mici. It was wonderful! But the best part was Bogdan. He was open and honest - answering our questions and sharing the highlights of the city, the progress that has been made and the work that needs to be done. If given the chance, everyone should have the opportunity to experience a city this way. Thank you, Bogdan, for sharing YOUR city.

What a fantastic way to see the countryside of Romania! Our tour guide, Sonia, was superb! We cannot say enough about how friendly, helpful and and knowledgeable she is. Made this trip the best we have done.
One note if caution, the castles, particularly Bran Castle, requires walking up very steep inclines and and lot of steps...well worth it but be prepared.

Daniela did a great job at explaining to us many aspects of the comunism period in Romania while making sure we don't stay in the sun. It was a very hot day and we had some concerns about the heat. Daniela was very knowledgeable about the communism era and was a pleasant person. I mostly chose this tour so my children could better understand what my wife and I lived through all those years. They kept asking me questions after the activity, a great sign that they were impressed with the tour.

Simply the best day trip from Bucharest. This day was a highlight of our visit to Romania and Eastern Europe as a whole. As we were too many for the minivan, another car with driver was co-opted who was knowledgeable and great fun while Sebastian driving the minivan kept us on track; (Shirvan aka Riga yes, "we all love Romania" - you were brilliant!) An interesting stop to look at Poenari Castle from afar that was occupied by Vlad the Impaler and on a slow restoration. Since we often luck out with wildlife, we were ecstatic to see plenty of bears, mostly mothers with cubs, who were so cute to watch playing, and we spotted a fox or two. Vidraru Dam was interesting and scenic then the beautiful drive up into the mountains. We sneakily made it to still semi-frozen Lake Balea for lunch and despite the lateness of the hour heading home, Riga still stopped our car for us to have a look at Curtea de Arges at our request. Nothing was too much trouble all day. The drivers were careful, there were stops made at clean free toilets and opportunities to purchase food and snacks. We imagine other day tours run by this company would be equally excellent, unfortunately we didn't have the time, and encourage everyone to choose Dreamlike Journeys!!

We lucked out with Catalin who took us on this private tour! We were met ahead of schedule, he whatsapp'd the day before to inform of pick up and also what the weather was to be like, which was great. Safe driver & was very knowledgeable about Romania which we spent the day talking about, in between the tour of the Winery & Dracula's cave. The mines were incredible, an experience definitely not to be missed and got more out of this with Catalin telling us the history of the place, how it was made, who was there, down to carvings on the wall - even recommended the good picture spots!! The winery drive was so enjoyable and when we arrived service was great, with a selection of wines that was hard to choose from! Catalin recommended some typical Romanian dishes, which we both really enjoyed! Then we visited Dracula's Grave, where we had many questions, and all answered! Superb! My partner & I have travelled all round the world and done many tours and this was definitely one of the best we've ever experienced. We are from Texas & Scotland, and have tricky accents, which Catalin did great with and was also knowledgeable about both places to have some great conversations in the day we spent together! At the end Catalin also went that extra mile as we had wanted to visit a brewery, and he took us there, stayed with us to enjoy a beer and took us back - which was a lot more than we had expected! Thank you for a great tour & for great memories of Romania! I wish we had booked more trips with you!
