    Bouza was Bueno 😋😊🍷
    While the tour guide provided an excellent overview of the Winery, the highlight was the fine dining paired with recommended Bouza wines. It was a very nice meal! The resident male peacock was impressive. Enjoyed the wine 🍷 and will take some back to Canada.

    Good Wine & Clean
    Very clean and small footprint to see, english speaking guide, yet not a lot explained about the differences in wine. The wine tasting was great, four different kinds of wine given. Busy place- we went with another couple by taxi but we were grouped with a cruise ship large group on our tour.

    Great winery
    If you like getting acquainted with new wines, this is the tour for you!!!
    We got Mike and he was great… the winery was great… the enologist was very knowledgeable and our chat with the owners was special.

    Relaxed day in genuine family wineries
    Boutique tour with 3 participants and a tour guide. Organised with industry knowledge and appreciation of the quality of the wines made. A good contrast between the two wineries and wealth of knowledge on the history of the vineyards and their wine making techniques. The light lunch was perfect, the accompanying single bottle vintage Tannat wine was outstanding. This will be one of the days we remember from our S . America trip for many years! Thanks Miguel and Ryan.

    Highly recommend this wine tour
    We toured the Pizzorno winery outside of Montevideo. A van picked us up from our hotel. The tour started on time and we we greeted warmly by our guide Gonzalo. After a 30 minute ride that was full of informative narrative, we arrived at the vineyards. The staff at Pizzorno started us off with a wine tasting and tapas. We were given a technical explanation for their wine bottling process beginning with the harvest. Then we were guided through the production area and cellar. Our tour was expertly translated into English for us. Following the tour we enjoyed a paired three course lunch. The food and wine were exceptional. We were only able to purchase one bottle of wine in the shop due the restrictions of our air travel schedule. We would highly recommend this tour. Gonzalo was the best!!!

    Six Stars out of Five
    What a great half day tour we had. We were a group of ten on a cruise circumnavigating South America and chose this half day experience through Top Private Tours. We actually booked three different tours through them and all of them were great. Fernando, the owner, was very responsive, organized and helpful. Our wonderful guide, Elina, was a treasure. She was very knowledgeable, spoke good English, and clearly loves her beautiful city. She answered all our questions and showed us so many great sites in our short time frame. We saw all the sites promised in the tour description plus went to a local market that was very interesting. By the time we were dropped off at the port we all remarked how lucky we were to have chosen this company. I highly recommend taking this tour. Thanks again Elina and Fernando. It was a day to be remembered.

    Terrible!
    Spent 60 dollars in cabs trying to find the place, nobody at the address provided, no signs, no lights, nothing, nobody answered!

    Lifelong memories
    Veronica and our guide Mateo were fabulous. They were professional, courteous, and communicated with us up to the day of our tour, confirming all the details. Mateo is a great driver (unlike the taxi drivers in Montevideo), punctual, but let us explore – we never felt rushed. Veronica set us up at two artisanal wineries and the experience at each resulted in lifelong memories. When the owner and winemaker delivers the tour of the vineyards and facilities, and then sits with you to taste the wine while you eat his homemade empanadas, that is an experience. When you get a personalized tour, a delectable lunch, and then can roam the vineyards by yourself with the winery’s dog Braulio, that is an experience. Veronica will set you up with those memories and experiences!

    WOW what an amazing experience!
    I'll keep this simple: 1. Do you enjoy great wine? 2. Do you enjoy excellent food? 3. Can you afford the cost of the tour? If yes to those three questions then you definitely want to take this tour! Communication from Ryan before, at tour time and post cruise was simply amazing. Our driver, Javier, was right on time, friendly and a very comfortable driver. Our Winery host, Giovanni, was gracious, knowledgeable and immediately caught onto the personality of our group and fit right in. The wines were excellent and the food was as good as you will find in any great restaurant! The ambiance of being served an incredible lunch in the beautiful surroundings of the vineyard was truly a very wonderful and memorable experience! JUST DO IT!

    Everything was excellent during the tour. Lunch and wines were amazing the service great. Andres, the wine connoisseur presented each wine and told the history in a very professional manner.

    Wonderful! Absolutely recommended!
    I live in Montevideo and wanted to learn more about the Uruguay wine scene. I tried out Wine Explorers and found Victoria and Tavis to be excellent guides and very communicative. They are very organized and do the tours in both English and Spanish. The bodegas we have visited have all been rockstar wines and a unique and wonderful experience for someone new to the wine scene and for a seasoned connoisseur. I highly recommend going on these tours.

    Nice Lunch at the Winery But That Was It
    We had a a last minute change with our ship itinerary which had us miss the port of Punta del Este and arrive early into Montevideo. We had a city tour booked in Punta del Este but felt the transport time plus touring would be too long given our late arrival into the port. So we made a last minute change to this tour.

    I must say that I appreciated the flexibility of the tour company to make a last minute change. However we thought that we would be having a guided "wine tour" meaning to a few different wineries. This was not the case.

    We were met at the pier by a lady who spoke English and directed us a van with a driver. She quickly showed us on a map the region we would be visiting. Then said goodbye. We had no idea what was happening and next we knew we were driving off with a man who spoke no English. We had no idea where we were going and the driver could not communicate at all.

    After a 45 minute drive away from the city we were dropped off at a winery (Pizzorno) where the folks seemed surprised to see us. We were led to a private room and told we would now receive lunch. The people serving us were very nice and the food was terrific but with little understanding of what to expect we were a little unsettled. Turns out that since we had arrived so late they decided to give us lunch first rather than the tour that would normally be conducted beforehand. We had a brief walk through their vineyard and production area. Again all the staff were very nice and the wine was excellent.

    We purchased some wine, the driver came to pick us up and drove us back to the port. That was it. While the time spent at the winery was nice we really didn't feel that for the very quite high price that the value was there. We have participated in wine tours in many different countries and have never paid this much to visit only one winery. As a result it was a disappointing day.

    Great Tour Experience
    Our Montevideo Beer Tour was exactly what i hoped and wanted from tour. We got to experience the local beers and pubs. It was a great experience to mingle with the local night life of Montevideo. I totally recommend this tour to all who visit this city. Kudos to the owners Ryan and Jorge! Thank you so much!!!
