What travellers are saying
- Dennis De'voreaux1 contributionTraveling with Terra Quechua Peru was an extraordinary experience, I went with a group of friends and the level of professionalism of the agency impressed us. The first day was quite gentle, which allowed us to acclimatize before the longer hikes of the following days. The scenery was out of this world, and each day seemed better than the last. Most exciting was camping in the mountains with incredible views and sharing stories around the campfire.
The activities included stops at various archaeological sites, and the guide explained the importance of each. We loved the food, which was surprisingly varied and tasty for being in the middle of nature. On the fourth day, arriving at Machu Picchu was a magical moment. Feeling the effort of the previous days and finally seeing the citadel was an unforgettable experience.Written 13 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We took a seven-day excursion with Felipe and his crew, Machupicchu Peru Treks. From the beginning conversations six months before our trip to the thoughtfully planned seven-day itinerary that included informative tours of Inca archeological sites, delicious organic meals prepared fresh by the chefs and crew, inspiring commentary about Inca culture, history, and identities, and insightful perspectives about the breathtaking landscapes and geological features of Peru, Felipe was extensively knowledgeable, trustworthy, friendly, detail-oriented, passionate, and funny. Haku, haku, Felipe, no rush, my friend! As my blood pressured spiked up on the trek to Vinicunca, Rainbow Mountain, Felipe took care of me the entire way up, walking behind me, never rushing me, checking in often, and supporting me to the summit. Without his care, concern, and support, I might have not made it. Muchisimas gracias, amigo Felipe, por todo tu apoyo!Written 8 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RoxaneSan Diego, CA4 contributionsBeautiful hike with amazing views of valleys, mountains, and glaciers. The Perolniyoc waterfall is incredible and highly recommended, also the view of the Sacred Valley and Veronica Mountain from Inti Punku is incredible.
During the entire route, we didn't see another person, which was beautiful and we enjoyed our walk thanks to Orange Nation Peru. Our guide Grober was exceptional and very knowledgeable about the place.Written 14 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Bernabe our guide picked us up at our hotel in town and took care of everything. Stopped for coffee on the way and then had a great lunch for us on the way back. Took the extra side trip up to the Stone Forest. I highly recommend doing this!!!Written 27 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jyoti F1 contributionI can't say enough good things about Gonzalo and Cusco Day Hike! Gonzalo was an absolute pleasure to work with—experienced, organized, and super friendly. He planned an amazing itinerary for our group of 15, perfectly balancing adventure and culture. We enjoyed beautiful hikes and waterfall plunging, SUP and kayaking on Lake Piuray, a traditional Panchamanca, and visits to incredible sites like Chinchero, Ollantaytambo, Maras, and Moray. Throughout the trip, Gonzalo was accommodating to our group's needs and made everything run smoothly. We're already looking forward to our next adventure with him! Highly recommend!Written 26 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Niko W2 contributionsOur experiences throughout the Sacred Valley and Ica Desert were truly special. The Exploor team did a great job of putting together an agenda that allowed us to experience the culture, history, and nature of the beautiful areas of Peru. It was nice to know that we were in good, knowledgable hands throughout our adventure, with a team that was on time to pick us up on our travel and tour days. The guides provided a lot of interesting, timely information along the tours and were able to converse seamlessly in both Spanish and English. We were very happy with the Exploor team and how dedicated they were to making sure that we had a fun, informative, and stress-free adventure.Written 9 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stacy H1 contributionEddy and his team were very knowledgeable about the area. The 5 day trip to Salkantay was organized and I felt safe as a solo female traveler. This has been and will always be one of my most memorable trips because they made it a special and positive experience.
I traveled to Cusco in 2011 at age 21 and went on the 5 day 4 night Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu. I was in a group of about 10 people, some couples, some solo travelers like me all from different parts of the world. We were picked up in a bus in Cusco and pick up was on time and organized. My trekking poles ended up getting left on the bus, and this company purchased new poles for me which I was thankful for since the poles were borrowed. We had bilingual 2 guides, one in front and one in the back with each day of the trek. The sherpas/porters carried our heavier gear ahead and we were able to hike comfortably with our backpacks. The hikes were very tough, and there were options throughout each day to bail, for example to go by horse or to take a bus to the next stop for the night. The guides were very knowledgeable about the area. I remember the guide stopping us on the trek and telling us to wear mosquito repellent moving forward, and he was so right. I missed a spot on my wrist and the mosquitos found it. Anyway, the guides even took the time to take us to a hot spring and to a beautiful outlook area. The guides were also very patient. I remember my feet would hurt so badly toward the end of the hike each day, and they would stick with me in the back. This has been one of my most memorable trip, thanks to this business for making it such a positive experience. Eddy is a local in the area and cares about his customer well-being and safety.Written 10 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
