We came here on New Year’s Eve at night time to explore just before seeing the fireworks. This garden is a must do when you are in Singapore, especially at night time also if you can! We did have to pay to see the main Garden Rhampsody as it had become an event (Christmas Spectacular), which in itself was pretty cool because there was fake snow, stunning light displays and a nice light show attuned to music. We did a walking loop around the whole gardens which was approximately 3 km this was very flat. This area is a feast for your eyes you will always be seeing something so beautiful while walking here, you can go into a lot of different other attractions which can cost a fee (such as the the flower dome, skywalk etc) and you will also see the beautiful city buildings while here. You could spend at least half a day at these gardens or more. There are many places to eat in the garden, toilets available in the garden and it’s good for all ages.

Could have spent the full day here, several cafes, well maintained and the orchid garden is definitely worth the $15 entrance fee. If you’re visiting Singapore I would recommend making time to visit the Botanic Gardens, it’s free (apart from the orchid garden) and really easy to get to via MRT.

This dome is stunning. The path through the vast space is well thought out and there is something to see around every corner. We were a group of 7 and everyone, including 3 kids (9, 9, & 12) enjoyed seeing all of the plants, waterfalls, statues and exhibits.

Con: My husband now wants to build a terrarium because he was so impsired.

we went to the zoo on a rainy day. Its well set out with wide main paths, and lots of little paths through the jungle to go to.
there is a good variety of animals, and given it was a rainy day, the crowds were not too bad at all.
we watched one show, but the rest of the time did our own thing.
we got very close to one of the Asian elephants in the water, whilst it played with a big ball, and grabbed a log and scratched its back.

public transport to the zoo is also very easy. we are staying in little india, so just caught a train, and then the bus directly to the zoo.

I was given the opportunity to tour the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. It was breathtaking. I was allowed to go outdoors and enjoy the spectacle at night. The artwork and soundtrack were amazing. I also went to the top-floor Wolfgang Puck restaurant's bar. The beverages were excellent, the service was excellent, and the view was breathtaking!

During my stay in Singapore, I really enjoyed spending some time exploring Chinatown. It was definitely one of the highlights in this trip. Mixes of modern malls and older European-style buildings were fascinating. Walking down those colorful streets, beautiful temples, and vibrant markets came into view. Chinatown, though Singapore boast of its very modern skyline, retains an old charm, which made it unique. The area is really safe to explore. There are loads of tourists and locals that roam around; I highly recommend a visit to Chinatown to get a flavor of Singapore's richness in history and culture! It's an excellent place to spend hours soaking up the atmosphere.

It’s a lovely area - a bit crowded but not too bad and beautiful views of the harbour. The Merlion is cute! Lots of great eateries around there too

This was one of the best things i saw during my visit. The temple is right next to Maxwell MRT so very easy to access and right across from a hawker centre. The outside is colourful and dramatic but the ground floor of the temple takes that to a new level. All the statues and the massive hall with the chinese/Buddhist art is very impressive. lots of wooden lacquerwood. Towards the entrance by maxwell to the right hand side you can access the lft that will take you to the several floors of exhibition above, these include the actual relics and also an excellent presentation on the life of the Buddha Siddharta Gautama. This was very clear and easy to understand and one of the best displays of this kind I have seen with many statues form across the buddhist world. I also enjoyed the rooftop garden which was a nice rest with some lovely orchids.Worth seeing even if you are not of the Buddhist faith.

One of the reasons many expats cite for loving Singapore is its location within Asia. It's at a central point in Southeast Asia, making it easy to travel to nearby countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. The place is so amazing, beautiful, so clean and nice citizens. Unforgettable as it connects your soul and heart and mind not to leave this place.

This was pretty but was lackluster after going to the cloud dome first. Still a great tour though beautiful flowers. Anything from last gorgeous petals to the smallest flowers in the world viewable under a microscope.

We caught the train to Upper Thomson, then walked (about 15 minutes) to the Venus Drive entrance to the MacRitchie Reserve. Walked to the Treetop Walkway, then on to the Jelutong Tower, before returning the way we came to the Venus Drive car park, and back to the MRT station. It took about 3 hours. The Treetop Walkway is quite a long way in, on foot, but worth the effort. Make sure you take plenty of water with you in the Singapore heat and humidity.

The Museum building was awesome, information and ticket purchase easy to navigate. I bought a ticket for just the history of Singapore which was really cheap. Really interesting and well curated exhibition - I could have stayed longer but ran out of time. Would thoroughly recommend to get a deep understanding about Singapore.
