We never tire of visiting these world famous gardens in the magnificent garden city state of Singapore. Although it’s very popular it’s large enough to absorb many visitors without it feeling crowded.
The gardens are also home to the breathtaking National Orchid collection and, in our experience, this is where most of the large groups head for( whilst entry to the Botanic Gardens is free, there is an admittance fee for the orchid collection).
Wandering around the gardens is so relaxing and there’s lots to see with most of the specimens clearly labeled. We find its best to visit in the early morning before the temperature rises and also before many of the tour groups arrive. Lakes, waterfalls and many fascinating and beautiful sculptures certainly add much interest to a visit. There are many magnificent trees as well as all manner of plants and shrubs.
There are refreshments available but one we called at was card only for payment.
Check out the ginger plant collection in particular and the bird life is spectacular if you’re lucky enough to see any!
As long as we are able to continue visiting Singapore, we will always visit these Botanical Gardens.
    Very highly recommended.

I was given the opportunity to tour the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. It was breathtaking. I was allowed to go outdoors and enjoy the spectacle at night. The artwork and soundtrack were amazing. I also went to the top-floor Wolfgang Puck restaurant's bar. The beverages were excellent, the service was excellent, and the view was breathtaking!

Amazing experience, this has been on my bucket list to see since I watched crazy rich Asians. I went during the day and at night and definitely would recommend going at night. They have a light show that goes along to music, usually to a theme, it was opera when I went. It can get very crowded so would recommend going early if you want a seat. There's no immediate need to go on the bridge unless you so desire, you wouldn't be missing much.

We had visited the large Buddhist temple when we realised on leaving the temple we were literally around the corner from Chinatown and all the shopping stalls and colourful heritage buildings.

The markets can be and were super crowded with a huge variety of items for sale. This is the cheapest place in all of Singapore for souveniers. I wish we had known about it at the start of our holiday rather than the end of it. This still did not stop us from buying up lots of little presents.

We even found a place to sit down and have some lunch. A visit to Chinatown should be a must and it is well worth the crowds to get those bargains.

It’s a lovely area - a bit crowded but not too bad and beautiful views of the harbour. The Merlion is cute! Lots of great eateries around there too

This is a beautiful temple with large statues in the front and many smaller ones on the walls. Appropriate attire is required. They have some scarves to hand out if your knees or shoulders are bare. We went up to the 4th floor to see the Buddha Tooth Relic which was behind glass. You have to take off your shoes. Photo taking was not allowed here. They had beads for sale.

The monks were preparing for a prayer service when we were there. You have to make reservations for a kneeling bench spot to be part of the prayers. As they were closing, we didn’t have time to visit the roof top garden or the museums on the other floors. Yes, it’s worth a visit. The energy was very good here in here.

We caught the train to Upper Thomson, then walked (about 15 minutes) to the Venus Drive entrance to the MacRitchie Reserve. Walked to the Treetop Walkway, then on to the Jelutong Tower, before returning the way we came to the Venus Drive car park, and back to the MRT station. It took about 3 hours. The Treetop Walkway is quite a long way in, on foot, but worth the effort. Make sure you take plenty of water with you in the Singapore heat and humidity.

Fun street with many interesting shops, restaurants and cafes. The whole place is very bright, covered in beautiful paintings and graffiti. Very good for pictures and a lunch break.

Ventured out to Arab Street and surrounds mainly to see the Mosque, but I did enjoy wandering amongst the lane ways looking at all the nice art on the walls and colourful buildings.
Worth a trip on the MRT.

We went on a Monday morning to avoid the big weekend crowds. What a huge store with most things you could think of. As Australians, we enjoyed the Indian flavour and my wife bought a pant suit for fancy dress with some jewellery to match. I was able to find some diabetic jam to use at breakfast at our hotel. This is a unique cultural shopping experience - have some fun here!

This park is wonderful and very well utilised by Singaporeans. Many activities for children as well as cafes and pet and dog grooming and dog training all by the seaside.

We actually had a late lunch at a Turkish cafe in the Park. then proceeded to walk through the park and sat down by the sea. The sea even though it is full of shipping tankers, it is still just wonderful to look out to the vast expanse of the ocean. It is so calming. We spend a relaxing while just watching the sea before continuing our walk. There is a lot of natural bushland as well with warnings about native monkeys. We did not see any. Just lots of happy Singaporeans enjoying the park.

If you are in the area of Marine Parade or nearby do drop by for an hour or two. You will enjoy it. There is even a Starbucks for some take away coffee while you enjoy the scenery.

The shopping centre at the Marina Bay Sands is absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend going for a visit. There are plenty of lavish shops, stunning restaurants and cafes. It is also perfect for a break from the sun as it is fully air-conditioned and has a few public bathrooms. The shopping centre is also a unique experience as this is the first shopping centre I have seen with a fully functioning river running through the middle, you are able to take a boat ride around.
