Other worldly. A must do in Singapore. This time it was themed to the movie Inside Out. The music and lights create an enchanting atmosphere. Singapore does this kind of thing very well.

Chinese New Year is celebrated throughout the Asian region. It is often called Lunar New Year, as it is celebrated throughout Asia. Lunar New Year is celebrated according to the Lunar calendar. Apart from Singapore, the Lunar New Year is celebrated in Korea and Taiwan. In mainland China, it is celebrated as the Spring Festival. Of course, the Lunar New Year is celebrated in Chinatowns around the world. The method of celebration is similiar -- feasting, exchanging red envelopes and lots of fireworks!

As a parent attending Chingay with my two sons, I must say this year's event exceeded our expectations, especially with the addition of interactive floors. We've been to Chingay in the past, enjoying the colorful floats and energetic performances, but the interactive elements truly elevated our experience.

The interactive floors provided a whole new level of engagement for my sons. They had a blast dancing along with the performers and trying out the interactive games. It was wonderful to see them fully immersed in the festivities, actively participating rather than just watching from the sidelines.

Aside from the interactive floors, the parade itself was as spectacular as ever. The vibrant floats, dazzling costumes, and diverse cultural showcases kept us entertained throughout the evening. It's always heartwarming to see different cultures coming together to celebrate in such a grand manner.

Overall, Chingay 2024 was a hit with my family. The addition of interactive floors added an exciting dimension to the event, making it even more enjoyable for attendees of all ages. We'll definitely be back next year, eagerly anticipating what new surprises Chingay has in store for us.

Amazing light show. Well worth taking 15 minutes out of your evening to watch this spectacular show. One of the best we have seen. No need to get there super early. We arrived minutes before it started and were able to view everything comfortably.

Short and sweet, this is about an 8 minute ongoing event requiring no planning or tickets and, because it continues for several days on rotation all evening, is never crowded. A quite engrossing display projected onto the walls of the building tells a story about Singapore's coming into being.

Chinese Zodiac in human size, brightly lit lanterns displayed making it fun for us to search for our own zodiac.

The key figures present and accounted for! Especially the 140 foot long dragon suspended high up in the air as it winds around the Supertrees, whilst the giant God of Fortune smiles indulgently at all of us trying to snap a picture of them both.

Great variety of food prepared in the many stalls too!! It’s not Singapore if food is missing 😍

We met the spacial holiday in little India. It's so amazing. I was so glad I could see the parade.

Stunning to see what an ambitious, vision focused country can do in less than 60 years. The use of light, encouragement of business, culture of respect is admirable.

It's a Very different, very new take on Theatre. I recommend that one get the OPEN pass for only $45 and then try to go for some of the main festival's shows. I went for both and it was an experience, indeed.

This festival be held at Chinatown. This is the best festival in Singapore because you can see many performance, for example: street light up, mass lantern walk, and more. You must visit this festival when you come to Singapore

We went there at Christmas. The place is too crowded but manageable. Queue for Santa’s photo taking is very long so we just skipped it but lots of picture worthy spots. If you’re too hungry, there are many food stalls to choose from with free live band singing to entertain peeps. Overall we did enjoy it.

Great to be in Singapore and especially Little India during this celebration. Night time is best to see the lights on the street. Other events are posted, such as parades on certain nights.
