Stopped by here after getting caught in a summer thunderstorm, and ended up catching some talented aerial artists performing!

The concert hall that I went to was situated on the second floor of a glamorous looking two/three story building. Compared to the Esplanade Concert Hall, it is sizeably smaller, but definitely provides a much less crowded and more cozy music listening experience.

Was there to watch Josh Groban’s concert in Feb 2019.

It was a nice theater. Certainly quite big. Could accommodate about 5 thousand people. Side by side to a mall.

Advisable to order grab or go car after a performance at night, as taxi were not much or actually hired.

It has been years since I visited this theatre and it has not changed much. Enjoyed the short film. Worth a visit especially if you plan to visit the Science Centre or Snow City as they are located next to each other.

A wonderful introduction to the ancient art of Chinese Opera. Our evening started with dinner including a delightful Lychee infused Chinese Tea, all the while excerpts of opera were shown on the TV. After dinner our host gave us the historical and artistic context of the costumes, makeup, music and stories.
At the end we were treated to a performance which incorporated what we just learnt. The costumes and makeup were a sight to behold.
A great way to spend Friday night in Singapore and an essential part of any Singapore holiday.

Caught a couple of musical/plays here and the one thing i remember is if you purchase the grand circle seats, be prepared to crane your neck or get annoyed with the ones sitting in the row before you. If they choose to lean forward during the show, it will block your view of the stage. Also, although the seats were fine, they can get quite uncomfortable after a while.

If you have been looking forward to the musical/play, ensure that your ticket is at least for the dress circle seats. Otherwise, the theatre is not too bad.

I came here towards the end of Feb 2020 to see the play, "Lifespan of a Fact". This was a relatively short production of less than 3 hours with just the 3 characters, but it was really very good. The first time I've seen a play in a long time, and very lucky I did as it may be a very long time before it is possible again due to the virus situation.

It's a beautiful open concept for eatery and meeting up. Together with the capitol theatre, the old movie theatre transform to a classic event place.
