- Grace T3 contributionsThis is a must for anyone interested in the history of Singapore and/or World War II.
The audio tour is well done and worth the extra cost for the enhanced experience.
The location, Ft Canning Park, seems a worthwhile destination to explore as well! The grounds are lovely and the paths well marked.Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TiredTrotterHertfordshire, UK427 contributionsHighly informative exhibition of various artefacts, audio visuals and texts about the wartime fall of Singapore to the Japanese, the subsequent reconquest and the development towards independence. The narrative seems historically well balanced and the British surrender was signed in this very building which I hadn’t realised. There’s a lot to take in here, so bring your reading glasses! In fact, it’s a more reading-intensive display than many museums, so perhaps better suited to adults and older children than the very young. It’s also quite a remote location and there’s no refreshments beyond a water fountain, so be prepared for that. Staff kindly telephoned a taxi for us when we left, since we didn’t want to use roaming data to get a Grab. At just $7 each to enter, this is great value and much recommended.Written 17 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
