Jewel is stunning. Singapore Airport is the most beautiful I've even seen. Not only are most of their terminals beautiful, but Jewel is incredible. I've been there day and night now, it's a pleasure at any time. I loved it, my wife loved it and my toddler loved it.

Visited Clark Quay a number of times whilst in Singapore. It's a wonderful place with many restaurants & bars by the water, it's more an evening place than for lunch. But certainly worth a visit!

Today's visit to Maxwell Food Centre was to try out the newly opened Thompson Eastern MRT which has a Maxwell station. We had reached the Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice stall at 12 noon hoping to get a quick bite of their favourite chicken rice and bokchoy. But there was already a long queue which extended to the corridor outside. We had to wait for almost half hour to order the food in the first shop and get served in the next. The rice was tasty as before but the chicken, even with the sauce, was tasting bland and not at all glazed. Maybe due to the crowd, they had to prepare in a hurry. Also there was not enough sauce on the rice and chicken. One star less for this!

We had never been to Vivo City before and only went there to cross over to Sentosa by train. As it was raining we spent a couple of hours at the mall and there is quite a good selection of shops. Only on the restaurant side the variety was so so, could have been better. In general lots of the international brands are there, lay out of the mall is quite good to wonder around, and it is easy to reach.

It is a high end mall, good for shopping or having a meal with plenty of options. This upscale building is across the road from the Marina Bay Sands. The interior view is stunning.

So much stuff packed into a huge department store. Nothing posh about this place - takes you back in time. You’ve got to visit! No windows anywhere, so I felt claustrophobic - especially as the store is jammed pack with goods and people after a bargain.

Probably the best mall along orchard road, and rivals the marina bay sands mall. It has all the luxury and non luxury shopping you would ever want, and more. Many restaurants and cafes as well of course. Plus art galleries, singapore airlines office, and ATMs

Singapore is known for its Hawker Centers and this may be the most famous do to its appearance on Crazy Rich Asians. We spent the morning visiting temples and shopping in Chinatown. While it was a couple of blocks we simply felt we had to visit. I got chicken and rice and my wife got the dumplings. The food was great and we enjoyed the ambiance as well. The architecture is impressive and as a bonus the center is on Robinson Road for all the Robinsons out there like myself.

Huge mall. So big it’s serve by 2 MRT stations on the same line: Promenade and Esplanade.

Many, many shops throughout, even a post office.

Numerous food clusters and food courts on all levels. Very busy for office traffic during the day, pleasantly quieter thereafter.

If you exit through Esplande, you can walk all the way to city hall and Funan Mall.

I thought that the Raffles hotel boutique was fantastic, - a great collection of nice things to choose from, and my husband enjoyed reading about the story of the hotel on a wall there. But the other stores in the Arcade are luxury brands of watches, photography and up on the first floor even furniture store which I am not interested in during a holiday.

We went directly to basement of dept store like in Japan. Great selection of sampling and normal food chains of Japan. We grabbed our favorites which included Mini Croissants, Taiyaki, Melon Pan at bakery, and grabbed 2 trays of really good sushi from the grocery area of Takashimaya for $10 each. This was just for snacking before a buffet Shabu Shabu at Suntec.

Great place and prices slightly above Japanese prices but still reasonable. Workers do not work as fast and efficient as their Japanese counterparts.

…in which you can find loads of great places to eat, plenty to buy and go between different parts of the local area. Nothing architecturally impressive necessarily but good for shopping and easy to get out too (not always a given in Singapore, especially on Orchard Road).

Impressively large with down to earth stores that you actually want to visit.

So much shopping and eating, you’d want to spend a day here. I did.

Almost every you’ll need can be gotten here. And easily accessible by subway.

Still rough, and ready. Although not as many Satay sellers as before.
Still, I enjoyed the hussle and bussle and got to eat my favourite asian dish. Chicken Feet!!

The Tekka Centre has everything that someone could imagine…clothing, trinkets, food, prepared food, crickets, spiders and all sorts of exotic fruits and food. It’s a great place for a snack and to just wander around and see how everyday life moves in Singapore.
