We enjoyed this river front area very much. Easily reachable via MRT. We came during the day as well as night time. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, ice cream parlor, and bars. In the day time, we got snacks and walked around a bit.

It really comes to life at night. With the temperature much cooler and the river water cooling effect, it is very pleasant! Many bars and lounges with live music, even found a salsa band playing. Definitely spend some time walking through the alleys, we came upon a water fountain feature. Got some drinks and sat to people watch for a while.

The route "between the two bridges" was quite doable. Took some colorful night photos. Wonderful spot to hang out.

The beautiful area inside the airport which provides a wonderful view for photography as well as relaxing before the flight. The green atmosphere mixed with the sound of water in the Jewel provides a natural environment in a closed area. A natural park without animals!

    Spectacular shopping mall.
Very high end shopping area. Boats going through the middle. Air conditioning makes it pleasant and wi fi available.

Hawker Center in Chinatown. Lots of options for food, cheaper than other Hawker Centers (e.g. Lau Pa Sat). There are public bathrooms and the MRT station is right next to it.

It is generally a great place for family (especially L3 has outdoor space and shallow pools for kids to enjoy); but there are some points to take note:

    1. Limited lifts between B2 (MRT) and other stories. There are only two not-so-large lifts from basement to upper floors (as for I now); but they are mostly occupied with normal adults —— not disabled, not from a family with baby trolley, not elderly or pregnant. If you are at B2 or L3, you may still be able to queue for crazy long to get into it (especially if unlucky one is under maintenance); if you are on other floors… forget about it. (For L1-L3, may take alternative lifts).

    2. A bit confusing signage. Even locals may get lost in the mall.

PS: if you need nursing room on L3, it is next to Food Republic and Sentosa monorail, indoor. The signage at the outdoor area only shows other toilets, despite children playing in the pools there. It is NOT with the toilet for disables next to the children amusement shop. The largest nursing room is at L2 though.

    - Smoking like chimney outside of the mall near the sea (VivoCity Waterfront Promenade). Here is the best place to enjoy sea breeze and the view of the bay and Sentosa across the water —— if there are no smokers. Now, you and your children will only get sea breeze of cigarette smokes. Avoid restaurants around the place too if you have young adults. Also, don’t walk to Sentosa via the boardwalk with young adults for the same reason. There may even have walking smokers all the way till Sentosa.

VERY crowded and spread out but worth the trip. They sell everything - clothing, food, batteries, travel, toiletries even materials. Sunday is a NIGHTMARE as it's the day off for most people so try to avoid it then. They have a money changer too with a good exchange rate

Saw this food market on YouTube and also a friend recommended it ( as top tourist one )so wanted to try it as I’d been to Newton Circus 30 years earlier in my travels… We arrive from the tube station further down the road and could smell the satay stands which enticed us in the right direction that evening…
Outside there was a huge picnic table area with at least 10 to 15 satay style stands with fresh prawns and meat, inside was a rabbit warren of food stalls with everything and anything you could imagine not to mention stalls serving alcohol and fresh fruit drinks and smoothies…
It was first class although the stand we went to for prawns and satay there was a 30 minute wait as it had stickers on the front from Tripadvisor and other Sites… So possibly in hide-site we should of tried another faster place as they all serve same and similar prices…
Overall a great place to eat, we went back a 2nd time at approximately 23:30 and all but 2 closed which we thought strange… Anyway had a nice dim sim meal 2nd time…

My wife was keen to sample the original Singapore Sling cocktail. You certainly pay for the experience at $38 each. However my wife certainly had no problem enjoying & savouring it. We chose to sit outside at Raffles Terrace as the queue for The Long Bar was quite a wait and no problem being shown to a table straight away outside. Service was great and given a large bowl of monkey nuts to enjoy also. Definitely worth an explore of the hotel to take in the splendor.

This centre has the high end brands like Chanel on the upper levels. But if you take the escalator downstairs you have food areas and a range of much cheaper shops.
It also give you access to the MTR and lets you walk via tunnels, with shops, all the way to Suntech undercover. So heat, its got a/c nor rain will effect you.
Two pubs side by side at the outer rim are also go for food or a beer. German one a bit more expensive but more choice and you can watch the world go by.

Taking a break from my long-time-favourite, Kitsune Ebi Udon, I patronised Maguro Yukimitsu at Takashimaya food hall for the first time. I ordered the Ume Sushi Set which is wonderfully fresh n delicious. My experience would have been perfect if the staff on duty at counter were to bother to thank all their customers for self-returning their trays after eating. But, the staff just watched without initiating to thank the gracious customers.

The many satay stalls are on the exterior of Lau Pa Sat hawker center near Marina Bay and central area. Lots of people when the stalls opened around 7 pm. Each stall has representatives with menus and prices, we follow the simple rule of "pick a place with a queue, all those people can't be wrong". Also figured the turn over would make the ingredients fresher/better.

Stall #8 did not disappoint! We ordered then watched the guy on the grills hop to get the satays cooked. We were given a buzzer, ended up waiting quite a while before receiving our satays. We got chicken and beef, both were wonderful. Especially loved the peanut sauce. We picked a table away from the masses, did not particularly liked the cramped satay tables set up near by.

Overall, a great way to enjoy some cheap eats and local satays. Checked off that Singapore experience.

Used to go to Lucky Plaza every visit to Singapore, but that was before Covid. Now it’s a shell of its former self. Tired looking and half stores closed, only good if you like Filipino food. Plenty of options there.
