- Hanna Grabe29 contributionsWe did a 2 day trek in Banaue and Batad rice terraces with Jhun Ognayon (+63 935 153 1934). We had an amazing adventure walking through the forests and stunning rice terraces. It’s not for the faint of heart, with several areas having very narrow paths. But it was all worth it for the amazing views of these UNESCO heritage sites. They are a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of these communities. The views of the rice terraces from the top will be something that I will always remember.
I highly recommend Jhun. He is super responsive and too extreme care for our safety during the entire trek. I’m scared of heights but with his help I was able to make it through even the steepest paths. As a guide who grew up working in these rice terraces, he was also able to share his own personal experience with us and made the local community and culture even more real and interesting. You won’t be disappointed if you go with Jhun on this amazing adventure.Written 9 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jon GPerth, Australia442 contributionsThis is one of my favorite waterfalls of all time! Located in the Batad rice terraces it’s a great hike down the mountains on narrow slippery pathways. I really enjoyed my time here and it’s definitely worth the climb for the swimWritten 31 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
