What travellers are saying
- SummerasalifestyleMalibu, CA3,610 contributionsGreat walk up the paved road. It’s all uphill! Good exercise. Lotsa positive going up and coming down.
Locals and tourists. Great viewsWritten 9 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We managed to experience all the rides in the park within just half a day—no fast pass needed! We even caught every show on our list. A little tip: head to the Frozen section first; it really helps you save time for everything else, allowing you to plan your day around the shows. It was such an epic experience!Written 19 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Walshy Travels 🇬🇧Portsmouth, UK5,388 contributionsA must see when visiting Hong Kong. Was surprised to learn the Buddha was actually constructed in resent history and there are some pictures & documentary videos which can be found in the surrounding temple/ monastery. You can also go inside the Buddha and walk around the top and outside of it. It’s all free to visit the actual Buddha and temples (save any donations you wish to make). No requirement to cover shoulders or legs but it is a very spiritual place so respectful behaviour is expected. Get there early and you get a more peaceful experience! We were glad to be leaving as the crowds of people started to arrive around midday.Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - marymary27Scarborough, UK939 contributionsThe trip across the harbour does not take long, but is an authentic experience and quite cheap to do. From the ferry you get views of the harbour and surroundings.Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mara W5 contributionsI visited the park solo, and while the place was massive and the cable car rides were fun, I couldn’t help but feel a bit let down. The park wasn’t crowded, which made it easy to explore, but honestly, it felt really outdated. I think t’s clear the park is in serious need of a renovation...Written 27 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hongfei C3 contributionsOne of a kind experience. Wish I had taken the bus as would have been shorter wait time, but the cable car was fun in its own way too.Written 1 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rob LMinneapolis, MN89 contributionsGreat place to spend an hour away from traffic. Tranquil and serene and picturesque do not do it full justice. It was perfect after a jarring day on the hop on hop off bus, in taxis and ferries. Perfect way to mellow out at the end of a busy Hong Kong tourist attraction day.Written 29 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Abovetheclouds2,321 contributionsI really enjoyed the energy early on a Sunday evening. Bustling, noisy, neon lights, shopping, food and more. This is Hong Kong. A little rough around the edges but safe. I was a solo female traveller. Like stepping into the old and new. The area seemed to smell like pee everywhere! Not sure why, but worth a trip.Written 3 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nikesh VasaJamnagar, India319 contributionsWe visited Lantau Island as part of our trip to HK in June 2024. It is recommended to travel both sides by cable car when going to Lantau Island. At the Island you find few restaurants and then the Big Buddha Statue and Monastery over there. The island has breathtaking views and you find peaceful atmosphere.Written 7 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wcockerallMelbourne, Australia248 contributionsWhat a surprise to find such a beautiful Nunnery to spend 2 hours resting and enjoying the amazing serenity in a city that always runs fast. From the Nunnery through to the gardens it's a place you go to just relax. For me I read my book and had coffee. Early visits before 10.30am is advised if you want it to yourself.Written 25 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gerry_W_ReisenbergerSingapore, Singapore486 contributionsExcellent hike with stunning views of the peninsula and bay. The hike itself is not too difficult, you just need some sturdy footwear and be sure to take enough water. Also, those that dislike stairs are probably better off finding a different trail. Once you have made it up to the top, you can continue hiking down all the way to Big Wave Beach, which makes it about a 3-3.5 hours round trip in total, and if the weather is nice, gives you the opportunity to take a dip in the sea at Big Wave Beach.Written 10 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Abovetheclouds2,321 contributionsThe heart of Kowloon where a lot of famous tourist attractions are located. Loads to do from museums to shopping and dining. Bustling 24/7. Love the energy. The Peninsula Hong Kong is located here.Written 3 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
